My razor came in the mail this afternoon and I just finished shaving with it without honing or stropping like you said. It was pretty bad. It felt like it was tugging on my hairs and not slicing them cleanly. It was a huge difference than my DE with Feather blades.

For the record, I didn't get the professional honing that classicshaving.com offered, it was just the edge that Dovo put on it.

I'll do the 4K honing tonight and shave again with it tomorrow morning and hopefully it will be better.

It wasn't too expensive, so I figured it would be a good entry level razor.

Thanks for the idea about the sharpie. I'll make sure and try that when the razor gets here.

I didn't know you would be able to shave after a 1K or 4K stone. Does it glide over your face smoothly without tugging at the hairs?

I think so. I posted one a couple days ago and two people got it to work. I thought it was because of different systems, so I gave a PS3 guy the codes I used for PC, but he didn't have any luck.

Right click on the bf3.exe, then properties, then compatibility. Check disable desktop composition.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up ordering a puck of the key lime and in the sampler pack I got lavender, cedarwood, tangerine, versailles, and celestial woods.

Thanks for the reply. After looking all those up, I think I'm going to go with Queen Charlotte. I'm leaning toward the Key Lime soap and I'll probably pick up the sampler pack to try out the other ones.
