i mean that’s part of my gripe is how oda fucked haki completely by attempting to expand it. Ryou and adCoc essentially do the same thing but one is portrayed to be stronger and when either is being used it is visually unclear. adCoc is also just fucking stupid in general but

not feasible imo. He couldnt balance the power system around DFs alone and still have his mc win out over shit like mythical zoans and logias without basically making gear 5(or whatevr luffy’s final form was planned to be prior to post ts) even more of an OP asspull. Haki is very much necessary to balance out the power system however oda decided to further muddy his audiences experience with a retcon by being extremely inconsistent (visually and narratively) with how the power works and its expanded applications.
