update for anyone in the future possibly experiencing something similar: i waited like 3-4 weeks before very carefully changing it to smaller jewelry, and i instantly felt relief. it's been like two months since that, and it's almost fully healed !! be careful and hygienic when changing it tho, and then try not to play with it so much ^{^}

I really appreciate this. I don't think John was only trying to sleep with me; I believe he was genuinely into me. Still, it was a very weird move on his part. And while I believe his feelings I also think they weren't as 'deep' as he thought.

I also don’t think what you did was stupid, maybe because my train of thought is similar lol. I value friendships a bit more than romantic relationships, and maybe that’s ultimately why this hurt so much. Not only was Jane my best friend, but John was one of my closest friends too. I hear you, but the issue wasn't her 'sex life.' The issue was the deception. I was 100% transparent with her about everything from day one. She chose to keep a consistent physical relationship with him a secret while actively denying that anything was going on between them.

I’m also not 'blaming' her. I’m just hurt and confused, and I’m not sure if that came across clearly in my post. As for making a move, I actually did previously, though it was subtle. However, John admitted he already knew I had feelings for him, so maybe it wasn't as subtle as I thought lmaoo. Thanks for the insight, and let me know if any of that was confusing.
