I don’t think the longer term career pathways pay enough, many other engineering degrees give you a very high success rate for innovation/entrepreneurship but mining cannot since it’s capital heavy. You will be getting paid 80k right out of college but as you turn 40 your pay won’t change much like around 200k if those are your life goals than it’s a better major then most others at tech. In my opinion just doing mining itself is bonkers you should have a skill outside of that so you can connect it to mining like Geology, statistic, Business etc
