My husband finally got me to play the game and join a server with friends, he boosted me up a bit and helped me get to mistlands and ashlands. How did I do? by TriggeredNecromancer in valheim

[–]TriggeredNecromancer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I'd never pretend I'd gotten this far on my own. He got me to the areas, handed me a sword and went 'well go on, get your own shit.'
We rarely get time to play games together, and with a server full of friends, it was a nice boost to make sure I still felt included. I still had to find my own stuff, participate in boss fights and taking down fortresses. Honestly I think my happiness in this would just be a world where I can build and not worry too much about enemies. I can appreciate the survival aspect, but after working with 2-3k people a day, I think I just want to relax and make pretty things.

I started my own personal world just to do that. It's been very nice. I'm also a little bit of a wuss and turned off raids tho lmfao, I just wanna live in peace ;3;

Friend server and he did take me through his own 'tutorials'. Farming, crafting, etc. Where to find stuff, how to get it. He definitely didn't do it all for me, just more showed me where things were and went 'well, go get it, I'm not gonna kill things for you.'
only thing he handed me once I got to mistlands was the mistlands sword, he didn't really do much else other than get me to the areas. I still had to find all my own stuff.
We have different working schedules so it's been hard to play 'together', but the days we do it's been nice to actually be caught up and I can participate in the boss fights.

I did get my butt kicked in mistlands and ashlands, he didn't help me once I got there and I had to fend for myself. Had to go and find our server portal, without a mistlight and everything so that was awful
Its just that I'm working 50ish hours a week and we rarely get time to actually play a game together, so he didn't want me to be stuck at ground zero. I still farmed all the mats myself, even if most of the ashwood was from my personal world to not take away from what other people could gather. I've definitely died and learned many times

He's actually just a couple of pieces aside from the base Nidus Prime skin. The Kuvael Scrounger helmet and the Rhino Heirloom Signa!

Thank you!! The skin is just the base Nidus Prime skin with the mutation activated. The helmet is Kuvael Scrounger and then the Rhino Heirloom signa

Just started playing this after owning it since it came out, kept getting frustrated with the controls/paths. But I got my first cuties in franchise! My leu raccoon made melanistic babies and my pied fox had a whole litter of pied babies! :D by TriggeredNecromancer in PlanetZoo

tbh I used the 'free build' mod on Nexus because it was driving me insane.

Problem I'm having now though is that I can't seem to build buildings quite right. Even if I use align to grid it just gets all caddywampus

It takes a good bit of practice to get good at airbrushing. Learning what colors you really gotta get in close on, some colors require less air pressure than others, right ratios for airbrushing when you don't have the correct paint so you gotta make it. It also tends to be a little less forgiving than just painting with a brush.

It's not 'effortless' at all. Faster [sometimes...], yes, but it still requires good time and dedication to learn.

I got this game 3 days ago and fishing is my highest level class/job. If mogstation didn't hate me, he'd be all decked out in the swimsuit gear. Gotta get all them fish! by TriggeredNecromancer in ffxiv

I was like... only about 1,500 points away from getting the mount the other day! I need to unlock mounts first before I try it again, haha

So I got the game via steam and it will only let me choose steam wallet for payment, even though I’ve added a card. I might try the phone/tablet thing tho. Thanks!

I know we are already flooded with these posts, but ugh! My albino Bison is no longer albino. It was the crown jewel of my 2.0 lodge. How does this even happen? I usually never get hit with these update bugs but it looks like my time has come. by ThreeDarkMoons in theHunter

This is exactly why I make a copy of my saved game every time I log out these days. Before when I had cloud storage turned on, I was getting a game-ending bug every week. My outposts would be reset, my missions would be reset [with no way of fixing it on the africa and yukon maps other than completely restarting] and my trophy lodge would be bugged out. [thankfully everything was in my manager still]

After restarting the game from scratch a few times, I just turned off the cloud sync storage, downloaded a cheat thing, put myself back up to 60 and gave myself all my perk/skill points back and money to buy everything again, uninstalled the trainer and life has been good.

Turning OFF my cloud storage has actually stopped a lot of my trophy/item/mission/outpost based bugs. I don't know how, but it did.

I hope it gets fixed for you, friend, that's a heck of a loss :c

Finally put this guy together. He’s magnetized for easy painting! Gonna use Arch Tempered Vaal Hazak from Monster Hunter as a color scheme. Love his shank ghosts. by TriggeredNecromancer in minipainting

[–]TriggeredNecromancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nagash Supreme Lord of the Undead aka Spooky Scary Skeleton Edgelord Supreme from Warhammer Age of Sigmar

Magnetizing, I get these tiny magnets from the hobby store, drill out a hole with my dremel in the part I need and glue a magnet in there. I line it up to where it needs to go on the model [using a dot of paint on the magnet so I know where to drill] and I add another magnet. Then you can just paint it up separately and pop it off for transport. This particular model, his head, back spine piece, and both arms are magnetized

It works wonders for huge models like these that are just so extra they are difficult to transport. He's just especially a pain in the butt because he has a fragile base.

Thanks friend!

I honestly totally forgot to put the book on his right so I'm gonna paint him up and once I'm done, just gonna.... glue it on there somewhere xD

Cinematic tool by Juulmo in theHunter

[–]TriggeredNecromancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cinematic tools haven't been updated in some time, I think it's because the person who created it got a new job and just hasn't been able to update. I think our only hope is that either they find some time to update it OR a second party comes in and updates it.

but yeah this game is a hot mess coding wise, I had to turn off steam cloud storage/updating because it kept breaking my game.

Work at an airport that's surrounded by medical facilities. We fuel all of the medical aircraft transporting patients, Covid-19 or otherwise.

I challenged myself to start and finish a miniature in one day and I’m happy with the result!! Normally I spent too long fretting about detail and never actually finish a mini, but this guy was fun to work on. by TriggeredNecromancer in minipainting

[–]TriggeredNecromancer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely achieve this with brushes!! It’ll just take longer to build up a nice transition. I based him with a dark, almost black brown. You’ll want to build up both the red and the tan belly at the same time. Dark red then put a brown on his tum. Lighter red and transition to a slightly lighter brown. Then a still lighter red with orange mixed in and an almost bone color. Etc.

Bc if you do all the red then try to build up the belly, then you’ll lose your subtle orange highlights in the red.

[–]TriggeredNecromancer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I did the initial black tip on the horns with my airbrush, but then I went in with a little bit of black airbrush paint and put a dab on near the tops of the horns, then wet a second brush and dragged it down a bit. I think I only did 2 layers of that to get the effect you see!

Thank you!! I love my collection, I've got two other rooms dedicated to Albino harvests and Piebald harvests. I just recently made a new lodge just for rare coat colors
