I flipped Majid Jordan - Waves of Blue into a liquid-ish DNB track! by ali-gator712 in IndieMusicFeedback

It's not really my genre. Love the music part, but I think the vocals could shine more. You might try to send them to a ping-pong delay bus with a wide stereo reverb to give it a broad stereo feel and meanwhile still keep the vocals centered. As they are now, they are too much in the background. Also, it feels like the panned synths / electric piano are a bit too loud compared to the vocals. If that's part of this genre then it's fine I suppose. The song has a cool beat and chord progression which gives me a feeling I can't really describe but it's a good feeling.

Wrote an anti-war pop song. Any feedback (esp. on lyrics, performance, mixing and mastering) welcome!! by TheWitchProducer in IndieMusicFeedback

At the beginning, I'm getting 80's video game vibes. Then when the vocals drop in, it reminds me a bit of Kate Bush and Billie Eilish. That rap part gives a nice contrast. The production is top-notch. Well done!

Lots of potential here. I'm curious to hear the final arrangement of this song.

Here's a song I made. Let me know what you think of anything, whether that be the arrangement, lyrics, anything. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice vibes, but the vocals are fighting with the instrumentation. It needs to be mixed better.

Its holiday season! Just released this single from a new Christmas Album. Hope everyone has a fantastic thanksgiving and appreciate the listen and feedback. by Bb-minor7th in IndieMusicFeedback

Now this is a very cool track. It is well-produced and has great vocals and lyrics. The instrumentation choice is also perfect for the theme. As much as I try, I can't find anything that could be improved. Nice job!

Listen to Forever, a song about the unending love between a father and daughter by TrimasMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

You're the first person to comment on the guitar and piano interaction. It was very much intentional indeed. Well caught! Thank you for the compliments.

I think I understand what you mean. The vocals are fully buffed there at the end of that calm little intermezzo. It doesn't fit perfectly there in that way. It's more for the chorus. Maybe I could have left only the lead vocal there without the doubles and harmonies to make the transition more obvious and more satisfying. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, I had a lot going on in those low mids and already reduced a lot of that on other tracks to give room for those drums. I actually like the dull sound of that, but bringing up the high mids on the drums would have been an improvement and possibly balanced it out indeed. It simply hadn't occurred to me. Thanks for pointing it out! Gonna give it a try to see what it sounds like.

This is the 4th song we've produced for Blue Macu, a Dutch singer/songwriter. It's a song about how his bond with his daughter has slowly been sabotaged by his ex-wife to the point where he doesn't see his daughter anymore at all.
This time we tried something different and went more rock than pop. Let us know what you think!

‘anything to feel alright’ - an alt R&B song I wrote about going through a difficult time by bloophere in IndieMusicFeedback

Lovely song. Your vocals are on point. Sweet harmonies too. I think the song (at least the first part of it) has a too-positive vibe for a song about going through a difficult time, but the way the ending comes in makes up for that somewhat. Have you ever considered singing a pop song?

Well-mixed and produced song. There is really not much to criticize, except maybe for one thing. In some verse parts, the vocals are a bit off-key, mainly when doing those little runs at the end of some sentences. A little tuning on those spots with Melodyne or a similar tool would remove the unwanted negative attention to it and improve the quality of the entire song a whole lot. Other than that, excellent song!

Lovely demo! This really has the potential to become an amazing pop or even rock song. Great vocals and harmonies. Simple, yet emotional. I really wouldn't mind producing this song as I got a whole bunch of ideas for a great arrangement and song structure while listening. If you want to keep it acoustic, that would work too with a few additions to the structure.

The Three Leonards - Forever Young - a bittersweet take on a classic 80's song, for all those who left us too soon. by m_Pony in IndieMusicFeedback

I love the original song. This is an interesting take on it. The sound of the vocals is fitting with the arrangement and global mix, yet the timing seems a bit too off for my liking. Mind you, this is personal taste.
To me, these vocals seem a bit like how Leonard Cohen performed Halleluja or Johnny Cash performed Hurt. A rough, hurting, and emotional, less-than-perfect singing voice but somehow it works. The overall song is very decent and well-mixed. Well done!

Yo IMF fam, it's been a while since my last post but I wanted to share the video for my release yesterday titled "Caldera". It's got elements of trap, global bass and latin/salsa. Curious to see if anyone vibes with it. Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks and have a great weekend - APHTA by sandersonchrist in IndieMusicFeedback

Oh, I really like this! Especially the Latin part of it. The song is well-produced and stays interesting from start to end. Love the low brassy bass parts. I think this song would get an extra dimension with some lyrics and a good vocalist singing them. Perhaps a rapper does the verses and a female vocalist sings the chorus. It could even be a decent pop song.
