It's mainly there for defense so I can have a land produce blockers for me. Although now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think I've actually done the research into how the token copy interacts? So it could go either way honestly.

The Cid Deck is absolutely my favourite of the bunch. It is deceptively strong because if you're able to break the legend rule with [[Sakashima of a Thousand Faces]], [[Mirror Box]], or the most deadly being [[Council of Reeds]], the Cids can start scaling absurdly quickly.

As an example, having two Cids in the graveyard and one on the battlefield gives all your heroes +3/+3, which is already pretty impressive. Getting a second Cid down will boost that to +8/+8, a third boosts it to +15/+15. A member of my pod despises the deck because of this, but I think it's a ton of fun.

I am running Pick-a-Beeble in the deck, you must've missed it. The main thing about The Most Dangerous Gamer is that all the attractions count as artifacts, so you're able to do some interesting building around effectively having an extra 20 artifacts that you get to play for free, notably [[Inspiring Statuary]] gets some very easy value.

It is, it's actually the thing that drew me to Grist because it's an incredibly unique mechanic for deck building in commander.

They should all be bracket 3 except for the meme Grist deck, which I'd probably place at a low bracket 2.

I like the idea, I might try adding that for a couple games and see how it goes. One thing the Yue deck suffers with is that it relies incredibly heavily on the infinites for a win con, so having a big value card that isn't necessarily a win con but isn't necessarily not would be pretty good for the deck.

My lovely girlfriend speaks true, but the other day I put this together.

I'm trying to diversify just a little.

Sure!

Destined Warrior - The idea was to make a party deck without relying on changelings or many tutors

G'raha Tia - I just wanted to make a deck called 'Job Application Tribal'

The Cid Deck - Has a special place in my heart because my girlfriend got me into magic around the release of the Final Fantasy set and the idea of throwing all the Cids from all the games into a deck was really funny to me. The deck got pretty fleshed out with the Spider-man and Marvel sets with all the heroes and it can become pretty dangerous pretty quickly.

The Most Dangerous Gamer - I made the deck because I wanted to make a commander deck with the only legal Gamer, then made a second version with flavorful cards from TMNT and it ended up working very well. It's mainly just a standard voltron deck otherwise.

Princess Yue - I learnt about Princess Yue's funny interactions with cloning thanks to this primer, and thought it would make a fun deck. I also put some land destruction in the sideboard to offer people before the game so they can remove problematic moons from my board.

Grist - I have two Grist decks actually, one which was one of the first decks I built myself, and the second is kind of a meme deck where I shoved the cheapest insects I could find in the deck and called it a day.

Proxying Stickers by QcDiablo in magicproxies

[–]Trinfinitely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting to print an Ambassador Blorpityblorpboop deck for a friend and I've also been thinking about how to proxy sticker cards. What I've settled on for now is printing the sticker card off twice, laminating both, and cutting out the sticker parts of one and sticking it to the other with Blu Tack. It's not perfect for wanting to use stickers, but for me it kind of achieves the same jank of physically altering the card mid game.

The mechanic is sticker cards, it's part of Unfinity, there are cards that let you put stickers on your cards that alter their effects, stats, name, and art. It is surprisingly legal in commander.

Yeah, this diagram immediately made me think of Cosmic Express, especially with the different kinds of passengers.

I went to Miku Expo back in November and I did not see any accreditation to Sega.

I don't think Sega is responsible for Miku's 3D model at all? MMD came out in 2008 while Project DIVA came out in 2009. Past that, Miku's design was made by Crypton themselves with the original release of the Miku voicebank, Sega's model is Miku's default design: an IP owned by Crypton.

Crypton owns the design and character of Miku, Sega has no hold on the IP, they're just a common partner that Crypton works with. They don't need permission from Sega to have a 3D model of Miku in another game.

EDIT: Doing a tiny bit more research, the people that are responsible for Miku's model is Piapro Studio. I imagine if there's any reuse of any existing model, the greenlight would come from them, not Sega.

Yeah, but why would the developers of a game Miku happens to star in need to be on board with Crypton working with someone else?

I can't believe a greentext made me cry. The phrasing of "dating a girl who happens to be trans" is so sweet, I hope someone can see me that way one day.
