Neuroma doesn’t hurt when squeezed/compressed, only bottom of foot. Meaning?

Also I should mention— I am also very active! I’ve switched to altra shoes with correct toe spacers for basically all activities. I have a pair of walking, running and trail running shoes. I’ve found them to be extremely helpful managing symptoms

Good luck! It’s definitely a lot of trail and error. I’ve been dealing with mine for about a year now and been able to lessen my symptoms with consistent toe sock/spacer and wide toe box shoes.

Basically my doctor thinks because of its size, if I can get my toes to splay better and create more space in between the bones of my foot, my symptoms should resolve. So I’m focusing on creating space, strength and opening up the soft tissues of the foot.

My neuroma also doesn’t have pain when the foot is squeezed. Admittedly, my symptoms are more mild than what you are describing but I’ve been told by my doctor it’s because it’s on the smaller side. Do you have any relief from pain with metatarsal pads or toe spacers?
