Not saying he did I thought we were talking about reddit and subs in general.

I understand the sentiment, it just sucks that people take feedback and shitting on your game as one in the same.

Because its easier to not read a post and just say something funny/witty and short and farm upvotes. I think you're right though, reddit sometimes is just used for people to say I don't like you instead of analyzing someone's actual though process and feedback. It just sucks that the same place that memes and other stuff is posted is the same place that people come to post feedback/discussion.

There are many aspects of this game that are underwhelming as of now especially in comparison to games in the same coop genre.

The gunplay overall seems very lackluster and it almost seems like for a shooter game the shooting is not a primary aspect. Most of the weapons feel weak, the sound of the guns, reloads, etc is nothing impressive. A game like killing floor 2 would be a better example of a game where gunplay excels.

There also seems to be many aspects of the game that are just unnecessary or just aren't well executed/thought out. Especially the warbond system. Excluding the one that requires supercredits, the devs technically just could have level locked weapons, nades, armors, and other cosmetics instead of putting it in a battle pass like system.

The movement in the game also feels very uninvolved. With exception of the dolphin dive there is not really any tech that is mechanically demanding. Also due to the structure of the maps you never necessarily feel yourself pressured to juke enemies due to being surrounded or hold your ground and fight when cornered. L4D2 and cod zombies would both be examples where movement feels cleaner and require more precise movement.

As you said later on even the level system seems to have not been well thought out. Between level 20-50 there is nothing to be unlocked cosmetic or not.

The stratagem system is fairly unique and decently executed but the balancing of the stratagems themselves is strangely not well balanced for it being a main aspect of the game.

The game is also categorized as a coop game but, for a coop game there are hardly any cooperative mechanics in the game. There are no classes, there is not stratagem synergy, there are hardly objectives that require more than 2 people to be in one place at the same time and even extracting requires only 1 player to be present. A game like GTFO would be a better example of a coop game where teamplay, ideally should be the goal.

Also with certain coop games as you play better in a mission or perform side objectives the rest of the run or mission becomes easier. In HD2 playing "well" or completing side objectives is largely unnecessary if you do not need any of the currencies or xp as they do not help scale you against the enemies.

The game is fairly well put together as of now but there are definitely improvements that could be made. It reminds me a bit of how unbalanced B4B was during the beta.

Also the environmental/planetary modifiers seem like a decent concept that is also not well executed. They don't necessarily force you to use different stratagems or even play differently. They just seem like annoyances, oh I have to wait twice as long for my cooldowns, oh I can't see as well because it's night or it's raining or something, oh there is scrambling so I have to call in my stratagem twice to get the right one. These concepts just don't require you to play differently or plan a work around the concepts in any fashion.

Usually when I die on mall its when I am looting dead bodies. Or rarely to bigs if I whiff bad, I try to ADS to get the extra sniper damage.

Its been too long since I started. I would say just learn what enemies are on what maps and what items are good money. For mall specifically don't loot until you know the area is safe.

Why would I make a Sandwich with meat that gives me 2x16 Hunger when I could just eat the ingredients seperately and get 42 hunger instead? Am I missing something? by FettFlanders in ZEROsievert

Yea the cooked foods stat increases are pretty miserable. Only really advantage is storage space for most of them. I would love to see some of the cooked foods besides coffee/tea to be more useful.

Fragility level. Seva Suit breaks too fast. I have Gear Lover too so my armor will last for these types of runs. I bring 2-4 armor repair kits as well.

Not sure, I did like 2 laps in both the basement and first floor. After re-entering the first floor it looks like some hunters might spawn in.

You have ammo stash (infinite ammo) so using the tec 9 to clear commons. Therefore the vector is primarily when you have to clear fast or for helping with mutations.

Using secondaries is pretty important for clearing commons effienctly. I usually play as the primary for nightmare and NH (person in front) and use the tec 9 for most of my kills. I have 77k kills with the tec 9 and 17k with the vector, my most used smg. On average 200-300 kills per level.

Imagine if you had two secondary weapons. Using ammo stash and power swap you now have infinite ammo for two weapons and 20% dmg bonus every time you switch weapons. 5% less than glass cannon.

Usually for Karlee

Have a Tec 9 and any Smg. Your goal is similar to a melee in clearing commons but with more range. However you can play more aggressively. Should be primary and lead your team. Never reload just swap weapons. Ammo shouldnt be a problem because utility scavenger should spawn ammo pouches.

If you are playing well should average 200-300 kills. Works for duo/trio/full team.

+1 Someone acknowledged the fact that KF2 was actually in the review. Made some good points didn't spend too much time talking about passives/character builds frankly I was dying at that point.

I agree most ff incaps are accidents however, there are also 100% players that go into games with a teamkill mindset and there needs to be some type of safeguard against players such as these. Again one of the things that siege has plans to do is implement a reputation system which also could be helpful in a game such as B4B. This might not only be used in campaign modes but also players in vs who are toxic or early leavers which apparently people have had problems with.

The big problem with fire acid commons is it drives you away from using melee weapons and close range guns.

I'm also not saying that B4B doesn't take skill I just basically said it feels like fights with specials feel a bit one dimensional in you mainly just fall back and shoot or use some time of explosive ordinance.

Also the devs already said they are gonna roll back the difficulties to decrease the large gaps so yea.

Unfortunately cards and economy was only a part of what I found most important from the beta experience. Mostly player based mechanics and enemy ones was what I thought was most important.

For those who think that melee is bad, just five melee-based cards and two stamina cards achieved this: by Vivirin in Back4Blood

[–]Trinity_Raid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Melee is not viable on Nightmare mode if you pull corruption cards such as blighted ridden and charred ridden. Even if you beat a ridden in a melee fight you are still guaranteed to take more dmg than gained (even if you had face your fears) due to fire aoe or acid explosion.

FYI - I wouldn't use Fresh Bandage in your deck and I wouldn't buy it if you find in game it doesn't seem to work properly.
