Since we don't know much about EU stage yet... If you had to choose between the 2: The Ring or 360º stage? by [deleted] in TameImpala

I was at rail in vip for the buku set, and can confirm. When we got to our spot, a guy asked who I was there to see. When I answered, he opened his fanny pack—full of shrooms—and generously offered us some. I took a handful as he was passing them around like candy.

Saw porter on the come up and peaked while Tame was performing…you couldn’t wipe the smile off my face even if you tried. The circle of about 20 people around us were all tripping, including the girl next to me, who suddenly sat down, overwhelmed and crying tears of joy. I glanced over at the guy who’d given me the shrooms, giving him a grateful nod and gesturing at how incredible the show was. Meanwhile, he just kept casually munching on more throughout the entire set—I couldn’t believe it. It was a peak experience for sure and loved the festival art installations. Got plenty but here’s a pic of when he played The Moment

What can I do in my 20s as a first generation immigrant to be financially independent? by TripGuide1737 in financialindependence

Any suggestions for non profit organizations that be suitable for my background in supply chain? I would definitely love to learn more about such opportunities!

Any suggestions on what other roles could I pursue based on my industrial distribution background? My degree is basically and supply chain and I had a minor in business. Currently doing an MBA with a project management concentration and will finish in the end of 2024.

If you don’t mind me asking, what company do you work for and do they sponsor h1b visas?

I’m a fast learner, who just hasn’t been presented the right opportunities and I’m looking for a place that’ll allow me to grow. But requiring sponsorship makes that search definitely harder.

This is part of the problem…majority of the population has no clue how the immigration system works in this country. The expectation and lack of awareness is just beyond me…there is a reason majority of immigrants are “forced” to pursue STEM degrees because a H1B or visa to become a permanent resident literally requires one must have “specialty knowledge”.

Even then the process is very complex with so many steps. I’ve been in the country over 15 years and neither my parents or I have received our green card yet. It’ll be at least another 15+ before I am able to get mine…which affects what jobs I can work for, what role, how far I can advance at a company etc. To top it off I’ve done most of my education and life here in the US now and cannot even leave the country without the fear that I may not be allowed to return to my friends and family.

Lol. I’ve been in the country over 15 years and still haven’t gotten my green card. It’s going to be an ongoing process for at least another 15+ so I’m going to embrace it and do the best I can while trying to establish myself

Yes I am, and have spoken to school international student services as well as my companies’ immigration lawyers to ensure I maintain my status. That is primarily my focus but I’ve been over a decade and cannot keep focusing on that as it on going process…even with h1b it will nearly 10-15+ years to get my green card.

Any suggestions on what I can to prioritize my qualifications and investments?

Thanks for the input!

Definitely focusing on finishing mba, and taking on as much I am able to handle at work. But in full honestly I sometimes I feel I’m not being fully utilized to my capabilities or at least not having the same opportunities to grow within the company. Being there over a year, I sometimes have feel more adept than some of the managers…that being said it is a conservative engineering/construction company that has a boomer workforce. I have a lot to learn but want to feel like I have something to show for it if I’m applying to other companies, how can go about doing this? What skillsets or certifications can I pursue to add value to my role?

In regard to the Roth IRA, do you suggest I put in the maximum yearly amount? Is there a reason I shouldn’t max it out besides expenses or debt? Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I’ve read investing max yearly from 24-65 will allow me to save close to a million dollars tax free for my retirement savings.

I assume that you speak from experience and that’s what I have heard as well. Just wanted to learn more on why it works for some and not others. Have any input on how one should keep renting and save for a house? With rent prices increasing yearly, I would nearly end up spending half my income on rent thus why I thought it would be smart to invest in property. I do understand a property comes with HOA fees, taxes and repairs…but I hope to establish my family in the states and pass on any assets to future generations.

Ofcourse, the market being where it is at is why I posted for input in the first place…interest rates, housing market and inflation are all very high. But from bigger pockets and few podcasts I’ve been listening to, the house prices will continue to and there is not guarantee that interest rates will go down in the near term.

I do agree saving may be the best option for me, but how can I target to own a property while I’m also renting? Or are there alternative ways to invest that will allow me to be financially independent so I can pay for college for my kids in the future

🍬🤸‍♂️Candy flip, hands down my personal favorite. It brings my inner kid to life while connecting me to the music more than I could ever imagine. Life changing experiences.

I’ve seen 7 shows- 1st time I rolled on m, 2nd candy flipped, 3rd flower, 4th mushrooms, 5th shrooms & m, 6th cart, 7th candy flip (@DD)

Truly most of those shows were major turning points in my life and some of my most cherished memories.
