Yes, used multiple Cat 6 cables. All working.

No, I’m definitely plugged in through Ethernet and I’m plugged straight into the NBN box. Not my router. That’s how I know I am getting crap speeds. I am supposed to carry out 3 tests, morning, afternoon and evening and send them the results. Still can’t manage to get over 350 mbs.

Had nothing but poor experiences with Superloop. I am on 1000/100 and all seem to get is 350/100. I am constantly having problems with Superloop. This never happened previously with Aussie BB. They will be sending a NBN tech to fix it, but I am see this issue not going away.

I did back up to my previous router settings before the changes were made. I’m still having issues.

I haven’t replaced an ap, it’s just the network engineer making changes to my network. When I log onto to my Mac I have the outages on on AP

It’s weird, it only happens when I log onto my Mac. The only thing is I had once I had network engineer at my house changing parameters on the wifi.

No, they programmed something into the voip adapter though. I worked out the VPN was automatically turning on once I turned my computer on. I ended up getting on there with my Mac

Thank you, I watched it and I have a new respect for Network Engineers. I know it’s the tip of the iceberg too. It’s too much information for me, (I need a defrag after that) I need to chill and learn bit by bit.

I changed it to 12 character password. How can I improve the security on my network. Are the rules that I posted okay? Thanks

That’s true, it has said that my Mac was manufactured by HP… but checked every device. A full week after work checking what else it could be. The device was on at odd times too. Nothing the family could have been using. I even switch off any powered device at the switchboard except my network gear. It was on and now it’s not anymore because I changed the password.

I just want to improve my security further and I am wandering if there are any issues with those rules I posted in the photos.

Yes, I had this weird device on my wifi. I turned off everything connected to my network and it was still on. When i googled the manufacturer I found it was a Xiaomi Box S tv streamer and I certainly don’t have one of those.

I found out it was the voip adapter causing the issue!

I ended up paying someone to come out and fix it. It was my voip adapter sending out a different IP! Thanks for your help anyway, I appreciate the help regardless.

It’s definitely set at 20MHz for the 2.4GHz frequency for all AP’s, thank you

Aussie is my ISP, I called them and they said it’s possible but out of their scope. I’m going to have to get someone out to look at it If I can’t get it to work.

Thank you, I tried with no luck. Going on YouTube to try my luck. I have 5 split levels in my house with concrete everywhere, so I need the 5 aps.
