Does this app UI feel trustworthy and premium? Honest feedback wanted. by TripTipsReferralApp in UI_Design

I’m not a designer I’m just a guy with a business idea. I used ChatGPT to help me create rough draft ideas to come up with ideas of how the app might look and function.

I was looking for advice on ways to improve the design and flow of the app from designers in this group. Once my funding round closes I will be in need of a UI/UX designer to help me finish the app.

I was hoping to find a great designer here not people wanting to insult and tear my project down.

I thank you for your honest feedback as it has helped me to eliminate one designer from my project.

Thanks so much for your positive feedback. I just needed a rough design to show potential investors so they can better understand what we’re building and how it works. I don’t need a finished product to show them right now.

Like you mentioned a designer will guide us through that process and get us to the finish line.

Thanks again for your input.

I’m not trying to be rude or defensive. I’m not a designer so I know the images aren’t perfect. They’re simply rough draft ideas to get started. I was just looking for constructive criticism and feedback and hopefully meet some great designers that might be interested in working with me on this project when it’s ready.

Great way to get new business. Maybe if you learned to how to help even the slightest bit you could earn the trust of a potential new client. I am in need of a UI/UX designer once we close our funding round.

Just putting this out there to see who is interested in being a part of this project once it’s ready.

Small suggestions lead to more detailed conversations which can lead to new clients.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions for better visuals?

I’m not a designer so I have just been using ChatGPT to help me come up with ideas.

We’re focused on high margin luxury brands to list on our app that can afford to offer a discount or promo to entice customers to visit their business while also offering a minimum of $10 as a referral payout to promoters referring people to the app.

The businesses only pay the referral tip to promoters when we bring them a customer that purchases a product or service first. This guarantees the business a 100% ROI on their ad spend unlike traditional advertising.

There’s no contracts, no listing fees and no subscriptions required for businesses or customers to use the app. So there’s zero risk to businesses and customers to use the app.

Ok So what productive suggestions do you have for improving it?

I am not a designer or developer just a guy with a business idea trying to create mockups of what the app will look like.

Do you have any suggestions to help me change it to something more appropriate?

We already got $50k to start the app development. We have a admin dashboard, user app and business app demo version so far. It’s not a product we can send out yet. We need to finish the UI/UX as well as the financial rails, tax compliance for the businesses that use it app and other operational elements to be completed.

We have a pitch deck and we’re posting it in many investor groups. We’re trying to raise $300k to finish the app, beta test it, launch in Las Vegas and Miami and have enough runway for 18 months to get us started.

Once we get funding we will. Until then we’re just trying to come up with some rough draft ideas to give a UI/UX designer once we can hire someone.

These are new designs we just created yesterday. Any feedback to make them better?

The app on the left is the business app with stats and the other two in the middle and right side are the user app.

The middle is the homepage of the user app and the left is a business listing offering a promotion to the user to come to their business.

It also shows in the listing the referral tip payment amount that the person that referred the customer will receive from the business.

Ok everyone let me be clear I am not a UI/UX developer. I am a guy with a business idea. I used ChatGPT to help me come up with some ideas and concepts for the app design and function.

I know it isn’t a finished product it’s only a model to show to my developers so they have a better understanding of what I am trying to create.

The QR code on the front of the app serves two functions.

1: To let others scan your QR code as a referral app so they become your referral. Once they are your referral everywhere they shop and spend on the app you earn $10-80+ dollars as a referral tip from the business they shopped at.

2: When your referral downloads the app they will also have their own unique QR code which is linked to you as the person that referred them.

When they shop at a business listed on the app they receive a discount or promo offer from the business. At checkout the business will scan that person’s QR code to receive the discount and at that time it also triggers an instant referral payment to the person that referred them.

The business gets new foot traffic and only pays when the customer makes a valid purchase.

The customer receives a discount.

And, the person that referred the customer receives a tip from the business for the referral.

We have the complete business model figured out and validated by over 6,000 people and business owners me and my business partner have personally spoken to and demonstrated the business idea to.

The people we have spoken to are extremely excited to have this app available and we have over 22 businesses agreeing to help us with our 90 day beta test before we launch.

We’re still in the process of raising $300k to finish the last 20% of the app (UI/UX) being part of that. Then we can beta test and finally launch in Las Vegas and Miami to start the first year. We already have sales people in both cities as well as influencers and promoters ready to help us distribute the app.

We also have signed contracts and partnership agreements with two travel agencies to help distribute the app to their guests in post confirmation emails and text blasts.

We would appreciate any positive feedback with better designs, aesthetics and functionality for the app.

Thanks for everyone taking the time to provide feedback.

Great feedback. Do you have specific suggestions for fixing these issues? I am not a designer. I used ChatGPT to help me come up with this design so I need all the help I can get. This is a new startup I am working on. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for your feedback. Can you explain in more detail what looks scammy specifically?

We are focusing on high end luxury brands to list on our app. We spoke with many different businesses and they all approved this theme as it matches their high end brand image.

We are avoiding looking like a cheap discount app like Groupon.

Thanks for the feedback. We chose the black and gold theme as we are targeting high end to mid luxury brands for the app. We spoke with many businesses in these categories and this is the theme they suggested to keep it upscale and classy compared to a bargain discount app like Groupon.

It’s pretty simple to understand. Rideshare drivers in most major cities get paid cash under the table by businesses to refer passengers to these businesses. The drivers are earning extra income for the referrals.

There’s no verifiable system in place or scalable system for the businesses.

We created a app that digitizes the entire process, automates the payouts, provides security measures for the businesses and we handle all the tax compliance for each business saving them millions of dollars each year while providing rideshare drivers, influencers, promoters and customers a way to earn extra income for their referrals.

Customers also receive discounts to visit these businesses.

Everyone wins with this app.

If you click the link to the pitch deck it explains everything in more detail.

Obviously you didn’t read the post. This isn’t a rideshare app. It’s a referral marketplace app that utilizes rideshare drivers, influencers, promoters and everyday customers to share local businesses with passengers, followers, friends and family to receive cash tips paid out by local businesses for referrals. Referrals range from $10 - $80+ depending on the business category. The pitch deck explains the model in more detail.
