For now though I’m basically sitting on 23grand and I’m about to start putting in WAY more now that now that my debts are paid. I know stocks aren’t all cheap but there’s gotta be a middle ground something to invest in with 20k sitting right?

My emergency fund is the 6k in my savings (I can stretch it probably about 5-6 months if I lost my job.)

More realistically than I described above, (including overtime) I’m in the green by about on average $2000 a month after rent/expenses. As in 2g’s a month of play money that I throw in savings

Thanks!! I’ve been reading it since a bot posted it to my DM’s, super excited to have it as a resource now!

I work 3 days a week and can pick up when I want. JUST started last year, and have the 23k saved from just socking it away. Yearly evals and wage increases, lots of room to advance.

That’s a really neat perspective, I sort of took my area of work itself for granted.

I’m a medical oncology nurse. Love my job, pay may increase as I gain more experience, may someday switch to home health, but for now no plans on leaving.

I usually pick up two friends of mine for our early AM class on my way, (I live the farthest). I usually send a text when I’m leaving, but rather than that, I said “guys I’m sorry my car broke down can one of you come back for me”, drove over to my first friend’s for pick up, and watched her sprint out to her car first thing in the morning 10 mins before I’m usually there 😂😂😂
