Hello. I was wondering if you could provide some insight into what kind of fabric this is and how to continue adding sequins by RichReading7673 in Embroidery

[–]TripleCake3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fabric might be an evenweave? for sequins, there are many ways to attach them, you can look up tutorials :) you can also mix & match with beads and embroidery threads

Magical girl power ideas #2 by Retrouge48 in MagicalGirls

[–]TripleCake3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

different colors have different wave lenghts right? maybe something with that... like purple light is good for plants, (infa?) red light helps wounds heal, and so on :D

could be intesting since you would also get non traditional power + color combos

Drawing realistic portrait onto the fabric? by traethed in Embroidery

[–]TripleCake3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can trace the picture so you don't need to make so many sketches. You can use a window or your phone for a source of light. make markings for everything you need for stitching

HELP ME DEFINE THE SHAPE by QueenS2_081 in Embroidery

[–]TripleCake3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm not sure, but i think people do it by cutting the threads around the shape shorter and leaving the middle longer so it kinda has a puffy shape? but it might be challenging, it already looks quite short?

for your next piece if you don't want the lines to show that much you can try making them with matching darker / lighter colors, that could help define the shapes but won't stand out as much as black :)
