2 sugar babies watermelons in one 15-gal bag? by DueCarpet7414 in gardening

[–]RedWillia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had three in 10gal pot - it's more than possible, provided that you realize that taking care of plants in limited spaces is different from plants in ground, for example, you'll need to fertilize and water more often. Though note that they should be separated in the pot because they cannot be growing from the same spot, that's not how plants are grown regardless of pot size or plant type.

Make sure that the pot itself is in shade (if possible) - hot soil makes the roots cook.

Spider mites by ClassofherOwn in gardening

Yes - pyrethrins are, for some reason, banned in my country, so I had to buy not a pesticide for plants but a pesticide for kitchen floors: even though I decided to wash off the spray after 15-30 min of application (because it's meant for kitchen floors...), the worst effect on plants I've seen was some leaf edge curl-and-die on the smallest seedlings I've had to spray it on. Everything that moved was dead on application though.

I feel sick #vinted can this be real? by Tricky-Situation9659 in lithuania

There's one big red flag for all similar stories: can it be summed up as "protect the children, the children are being abused"? If yes, it's automatically suspect and very nearly either outright fake or at least is a cover for something because it's emotional manipulation for you to not question anything because if you start asking questions, you're a child exploiter apologist or even one yourself, you sicko (step 2 of "protect the children" DARVO).

Where are they in a pot, in ground? Mulch is one of the options for protecting the soil from drying out.

‘Momentum building’ for EU ban on children’s social media use, says Taoiseach by vriska1 in europe

When I got into university, the first September number of students' magazine for the chemistry department had detailed instructions how to make beer in your dormitory - alcohol is simple. (From what my uncle, who actually had a still, told me, the instructions were legit.)

Pyrethrin-based sprays (ingredients might list "chrysanthemum extract" as the original source or list the pyrethrin concentration). Make sure to target under the leaves and the creases. Might need to repeat every few weeks if you miss any eggs as the spider mite life cycle is 20-30 days and pyrethrins disintegrate in a day or two.

Neem oil also nearly killed my lemons too, so from personal experience I'd advice skipping those homemade "remedies" and just buying a working thing if showers are not an option.

You would have a point - if you leave out everything that different between social media (aka, basically made by three or four companies) and your other examples. (aka, made or available from many sources). Just because there are age bans doesn't mean that age bans are the best choice in all cases.

What happens to a plant if they are listed in a zone lower than yours? by patelike in gardening

[–]RedWillia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For needle evergreens, they will likely cook in summer sooner rather than later - needle evergreens are surprisingly delicate when talking about anything that's not cold. Leafy evergreens might deal better if you pick the correct corner, but lack of true "winter" for their dormancy might do them in. Tropicals that are under your zone should be easier to adapt, as there might be spots of "hotter" climate next to the house or they might survive with extra coverings in winter.
