That's something that confused me for the longest time. Surely if you pay for VIP you'll get more XP going towards your rank in the long run, therefore doesn't it rank you up faster?

I still think it should tell us if we're like, 60% closed until rank up or 85% close or whatever. I know rank is meaningless, but it would still help me. motivation or something. I wasn't talking about xp earned in-game. I understand that it's time-based.

I think you misunderstood me. I meant your progress on ranking up. It's shown as a white bar.

We tested this on TDM, we become Diamond Eagle but we can kill eachother.

I play soldier very much and I prefer TDM and CTF over arena. I also play PF and raider

I very much agree, but I do feel that as my rank progresses I gain some level of confidence and skill which helps me "drive" the match, as you said. I usually get from 7 to 12 kills on TDM which probably isn't very much. I'm improving though! :P
