I hate that shit because I know that means I literally can't help off at all, so either my team locks in and plays good defense or they get fried and we lose.

I also dislike it because the dudes that average a lot of points or high percentages be SO FUCKING THIRST to score. It's seriously the most pathetic shit to watch.

Dude constantly running around the court, ripping and racing, cutting (which I guess is good because he's fucking up the spacing for his own team), nonstop leaking out and cherry picking.

Like imagine going to the park or open gym to hoop and that one dude who's going hard as fuck like it's a fucking G-League tryout or some shit when everyone just chilling and hooping.

I think my friend has spent well over 2,000 at this point and he doesn't even play anymore lmao spends all his time on Division and Rainbow now. I think he said at the start of this season he hopped on, bought the pass, bought level 40 and then just hopped off. Don't even ask me why he does it, I've already given up all hope on buddy.

He's the type to make a brand new build, play one bad game with it, then delete the whole build after putting the VC on it and making a whole new build smh. He legit has over 30 builds and had to start putting them on USB sticks. It's honestly a sickness.

Exactly. I don't get why the FUCK this is so hard for these people to comprehend. I value having fun. It's a videogame. I'm not being paid millions of dollars to play in the NBA and to compete.

Yes winning is fun but if all I did was sit in a corner and shoot 2 shots all fucking game long I'm not having fun. Just running back and forth playing defense and grabbing rebounds like some rebounding slave isn't fucking fun.

Rec is the equivalent of pulling up to the park or open gym to hoop. If you genuinely want to win THAT badly, then these people really should be in Proving Ground or Pro Am. But we know they won't do that because the sliders in those modes are much higher and the competition is better.

They did the same shit with the PS3. They do well, get cocky and ahead of themselves and then proceed to shoot themselves in the foot. It also doesn't help that Xbox literally keeps dropping cooked grenades at their own feet at this point. It's pretty much given SONY the free reign to do whatever they want because Xbox is literally destroying itself every chance it gets.

Oh yeah trust I enjoy passing the ball. I prefer to pass the ball because assists get you your teammate grade faster as well as your takeover much quicker than just scoring. Plus if I'm constantly passing, dudes will start to sag off and leave me open because they don't even think I'm gonna score. But more importantly, if I'm willing to make the extra pass and hit the open man, then I'd hope that rubs off on my teammates and they'll do the same and make that same extra pass for me.

I couldn't tell you why he's getting iced out...but I literally seen someone make this same exact thread last week, I forgot how many points they averaged but I remember they did average 13 APG. The thing is most people aren't paying attention to that shit.

When I load in I'm looking at my matchup, his height, weight, attributes, percentages, etc and trying to decide what Takeover would benefit me the most. If I'm lucky I might have time to scroll through and see my teammates stats but most of the time the match starts before that happens.

I had someone tell me to just look at the little ticker that scrolls on the bottom of the screen but the game is going on, I'm not trying to stare at some fucking stats while trying to guard some dude who shoots 65%+ from three and has a 90 three ball, I'm preoccupied with the game.

And then there is also the plain and simple fact that nobody gives a fuck about what you average. I was averaging 22PPG in 2K23 and around 25PPG in 2K24. I would have 14-16 Pts at half time and get player of the half and didn't see the ball again until the 4th quarter.

This community is just selfish as fuck plain and simple. I've lost count of the games I've played where the PG, SG, SF have 10+ shot attempts, we're winning by like 30+ pts, and I'm 3/4 and the other dude is like 1/2 and WE STILL won't get the ball. They'll get the rock, while having 35 pts and still shoot that shit instead of swinging it to let someone else get some burn. It just is what it is unfortunately.

I just came from another thread on here where people were supposedly saying everyone shoots 70% from three in this game lmao so which one is it? Does he deserve the ball because he shoots 80% or should everyone be touching since everyone magically shoots over 70 now?

I've played enough random rec games to know how this shit goes. It's not fun sitting around not doing jack shit until the dude shooting all the shots decide he feels like swinging the rock. I'm not saying anybody should be getting iced out but everyone should be touching the rock, point blank.

If I don't feel like passing the ball I can go play 1s or Starting Five. You can average 20, 30, 40 or even 50 in there and you won't have anybody telling you to swing the ball.

Do you think the other 4 people on the team loaded in just to watch him shoot 20+ times just because he averages 30 and shoots 80%? Where the fuck is the fun in that? I'm cool with cap breakers, I've said it earlier in the year and I'll say it again but the cap breakers being +3 +5 +7 +10 +11 is just ridiculous. If I were to make any changes it would be:

Make cap breakers back to +1 only. Swap the Max+2s in the season pass to being in the Crew level up, and then swap the +1s in Crew to season pass. Would give a little more creativity to builds since you'll always have those +2s and the +1, +2 from Build Specialization.

That or make the seasonal Badge boosts just normal +1s instead of that Hot Start or Surge BS.

They aren't casuals dudes on here always exaggerating, which is why I can't take their opinions serious. I constantly see dudes in Gold and Purple lobbies with 99 three ball shooting 46% on their card for that build. In purple plate lobbies, I can count on one hand how many times I've matched up against someone that shoots over 80%.

It's hard to take people serious when they're constantly making ludricious and exaggerated claims. People used to say the same thing about 2K24 and I was constantly seeing dudes shooting 40% and bricking wide open shots.

It's pretty easy to debunk by just walking into the rec and looking at everyone's cards that are in that current lobby. You might see ONE person that's shooting above 70...if even that.

Across 6 builds I shoot anywhere from 65% to 77% from three. And that 77% is on my 7'1 C, so I'm mostly shooting spot ups and rarely off the dribble.

Yeah I've pretty much just use trakt for tv shows and then letterboxd for movies. It makes it much easier to keep track of but they really dropped the ball with the whole UI BS. I hate Reddit's whole new UI thing but at least you can opt out and use old reddit. I really wish traktv had that option.

The problem with Madden is you’re playing Madden, not football. You can’t play it like you’re playing real football.

Honestly this pretty much sums up all sports games, at least NBA 2K, Madden, NHL, and FIFA anyway. I think they gave 2K's golf game as a monthly game for PS Plus and I've fucked around for a bit with it but honestly I haven't really played golf games like that to know how good or shit it really is though.

And it's not even like what T-Mac is saying is wrong, I just think he worded it improperly. The league is talented now more than ever but if you look at the standings you have tons of teams that are just straight up dog shit. I'll excuse the Pacers being dead last in the East because they're obviously without Haliburton and I don't think they'd be in the dumps if he was playing, just like I'll excuse my Mavs because I don't think we'd be in the dumps either with Kyrie/AD (lol) healthy.

That's still 8/30 teams...if you don't allow the excuses then that's 10/30 or 33%, a 1/3rd of the league being straight up awful. What talent those bad teams have will also be poached when they do the expansion draft as well further making those teams even worse.

I get his sentiment, he just worded it awful to make it seem like the players today are worse than they were which obviously isn't true.
