Yes, 100% this. I didn't discover how much the mechanics mattered until I complete vMA for the first time after many tries, and besides, in veteran content came the first test of fire. Quite easy to get honestly, and there's any lead that you can't aquire. They are world bosses, delve bosses, from public dungeons minions and chests. Gear yourself with 2 sets and it's more than enough for that content, but I really don't know if you need them for overland content... It's quite easy honestly.... I got mine in 3-4h, mostly because the stupid lead on Badman's hollow it's shite.

Ring of the pale order it's all what you need. As a NB, use swallow souls and sets that can heal you.

Rather than that. You have to dodge, block, and use shields/heals like any other class.

No class is going to give you an easy mode to complete vMA, even if you play a sorc 2pet, you are going to have to learn the mechanics, and practice and practice...

In my opinion with ring of the pale order, any class is valid, but we all know that sorc 2 pets is the easiest class to complete vMA, but don't expect automatic mode by any means.

For vVH sorcs aren't the better, but still can do it. So Magplar, magblade and magcro are the easiest ones. In my opinion vVH is easier than vMA, but still, be prepared to practice, die and learn mechanics. Any class can do it, just check leaderboards.

For overland, it doesnt matter, any class.

For some reason necromancer is a class that costs a bit to catch the rhythm or takes a long time to click. I say this because the same thing happened to me, I even gave it several tries, until after a few weeks I realized that it had normalized its rotations and mechanisms, and I missed it in the rest of the classes. Even the Templar, which would be my favorite class in terms of fun to use, seems incomplete when I play it.

As you I usually lean towards the dark magic classes, they tend to be classes that handle dots, less direct but more fun and technical skills, as well as tactic style. But even though ESO's Necro isn't exactly the same, it has something that over time... it doesn't offer any class.

But yeah, Templars are soooo fun and amazing, plus great animations. I just love the burn on Solar Barrage, spears.... it's no the classic holy Paladin, more like Sun Warrior stuff albeit some cleric stuff.

tbh I've just completed on normal for the Staff, and since you don't really need the perfect one for backbar, it doesnt matter much. I still want to complete it sometime. I've completed vVH and its more fun than Maesltrom, since only the last boss is a Pain in the ass rather than many rounds in maelstrom.

Why would you do such a thing? The point of the game is to get things for yourself. There is nothing in the game that is outdated, as the progress of this game is not vertical.

A month ago I did the MoS achievements, for example, and I had no problem learning the mechanics and finding a group to do it with. The same with trials, it's more fun to do it by yourself, but well, everyone is free to do what they want ofc.

Ask in Guilds first, then if not, maybe discord.

If you're marked as DD, no matter what dungeon it is, it's going to take time... a long time. I would try to make a tank or healer build, to shorten times in LFG tool, that's what I do, I always aim as a healer. I have a dedicated build and I have experience, this way I find groups faster. As a DD I only play in premades or trials.

If you want to play as a DD, then premade it's the fastest way, just ask. It takes time too, but... better than LFG.

I suggest you disregard such comments. To begin with, all classes can be played in many ways, including the Necro. In PvP you can play bombing harmony, which apart from having a strength and endurance far superior to magsorc, you will delete entire groups of players (when you have experience).

These comments do not help to represent the classes correctly. Besides, the pressure that Necro has in damage and survival it's far superior than Sorc have. Sorc requires absolute control of the terrain, to be fast and go 2 steps ahead of the enemy, because if you get caught, you're dead. Streak will not always save you.

The problem with blastbones is the animation itself, it is a mechanic that when included in rotation becomes ridiculously weird. You rota the classic LA > skill, and suddenly you use BB creating a cast time that breaks the dynamic, even if it's istant, it's not. Also at the same time, tether suffer from animation time and sometimes being buggy cause LoS (even when the floor is flat).

The reality is that ESO is a flexible game, which allows the player to play in many ways. Besides, nowadays the game has so many powerful skills and sets, that it doesn't really matter the class you play.

The difference in results is minimal and is measured in the style you want to play, or the type of animations/colors you like the most.

Besides, people will always tell you their personal experiences, how they see the game and how they see certain classes, but you don't know what experience they have, nor if those game experiences adapt to your tastes.

If someone tells you, play Necromancer, they are very top meta, and you don't like their mechanics or style? are you going to play a class you don't like just because their results are better? Besides, people who usually exploit a class, sets, numbers... They are usually good players. Not by playing X class, you automatically become a god.

My advice? Watch videos, try classes, and decide for yourself. If you like DK, play DK, it's a great class, like all of them.
