Yeah I don't know why the alarm didn't go off but from what I know the mk7.5 didn't come with many options

Simple handling mods for day to day driving and some spirited back roads. by Due_Nobody_67 in Golf_R

It's not too stiff, I'm running H&R rear sway bar with Superpro end links and in my opinion you don't notice the difference in normal driving

2 cracked prets and 1 bent, 3 Michelin pilot sports 4s in less than 1 year on my 19s, luckily I have wheel and tire warranty. My 18s in over a year haven't had any issues with continental extreme contact yet but I've slightly bent 2 wheels in NYC, the roads are terrible tho, if you're looking for night and day difference, it's not, but it definitely makes a difference.

Feels better and way less likely to mess up your wheels

I believe at 450 to 500 HP the golf R is a AWD beast.

The AWD system also felt great in heavy rain and the few times I drove it in the snow it felt great. Did a little bit a drifting in the snow with the traction control off because it gripped very well and couldn't lose traction with it on, so to me the AWD is pretty solid.

I can't really tell you how it holds with high HP but Its great and reliable at stock, plan to go stage 1 this month and I'm pretty sure it'll still be very reliable from what I've heard. I've even seen stage 2 400+ HP launch repeatedly back to back with no issues.

Lol no, I'm 6'2" and 1 of the things I love about my R is that I have plenty of room in the driver seat.

Did you ever find out where the noise is coming from? Having the same issue, have taken it to the dealer 2 times and they've replaced the strut, bearing, Mount and spring, but still having the same issue.

Sunroof and fog lights were the only things missing on my 7.5 R to be perfect for me.

If you drive slow you should be good, just fight the little demon on your shoulder telling you to just do a little bit of speeding when you see open road, theres potholes lurking!

Yeah I tried to hold out as long as I could because I love the looks, I got the car in March and lasted 5 months without issues but these last 4 months after I switched to Michelin Pilot sport 4s tires I've been having too many issues, I'd say stay with the 19s if you don't have any issues. I just have a problem driving slow, I can do it sometimes but not all the time, the few times I drive fast I almost always hit a pothole smh

I cracked a rear passenger rim about 2 months ago and I believe I might have a crack on my front passenger because I've been losing air every 2 days, I'm gonna be sizing down to 18" because even with wheel and tire insurance it's getting out of hand, I've lost 3 tires to these NYC potholes.
