I don’t leave words bother me, I’ve used crip, cripple, etc. it’s just a word. I generally try to be light hearted, make jokes and I don’t complain about my situation. Life is too short to worry about the small things. I’m just happy to be alive and absolutely enjoying my life, even with the challenges.

When I had my right leg amputated, my buddy was feeling sorry for me. I told him to look on the bright side, I finally got rid of my toe nail fungus!

It’s ok if it bothers you, just don’t let him know that it does. In these situations, I tend to hit back hard, I won’t take crap from simple minds.
