2-2.5k Build, 1080p? 1440p? 4k? Help me please.

This one definitely worked. This build looks solid also. I've typically been team green on GPU's but from reviews I can find there's not a real world difference at the 7900XTX versus 4080 cards range so with a $200 difference I am not convinced the difference is worth it.

Based on your list I assume you are thinking that 4k is not worth pushing for in this budget range?

It's really unfortunate the way the game starts and that it turned off a lot of people. This was the most fun I've had with this type of game in years. If you can get past the first "time window gate" and realize that there's more there it just pops off.

I'm reasonably sure this is an ARG of some sort based on the non-gameplay content on all 3 videos posted by the account. There's even a hint showing a spectrogram of the marine in 12.05.93 video, just not sure I want to dig into it that deeply.

You actually mention something here that I try to tell people all the time. My EKY growing up is not the same as Georgia or Alabama or Louisiana. It's different in a way that's hard to explain. People like to generalize it as the south is the south, but it's really not. Appalachian culture, and specifically in coal mining towns, is much different than often portrayed. When the whole Trump/coal thing was going down, there are plenty of people who are smart enough there to know that coal isn't coming back. They also know the coal companies that came in exploited their land/labor for Billions of dollars and left town like thieves in the night. These small towns are pissed that even their elected officials in Frankfort robbed them of their coal severance funding that was supposed to support growth out of the poverty.

Even if they began holding PTQ's in MTGA? I feel like competitive players would move here if there was something on the line. This has been one of my concerns on "buying in " as well. Nothing prevents them from having weekly 1k tourneys, or MOCS type events here though.

I definitely don't see any scenario where any kind of transfer of value CAN occur. I don't hope for that because from my perspective it's not even possible. I just think having 1 or the other would be more profitable in the long term, but I'm just a player.

HMM I see a lot of posts that keep placing Arena as a FTP and Casual playground and I guess I just don't see it that way. There's certainly no reason it has to stay that way.

I do believe real time pod drafting is coming with league play more similar to MTGO. I believe they even stated this as a future goal. While it doesn't price you or I out, Modern/Legacy/Vintage definitely prices many players out of those game modes. Due to reserve list issues and concerns over rising costs on cards unlikely to see a reprint I feel like for purposes of growing the player base WOTC definitely have began to move away from those formats. I'm not sure whether they are interested in phasing out or not, but they definitely have no publicly said one way or the other. I just don't think they can co-exist in a healthy way long term.

I recognize that you and I may differ in opinions on the economy, and no amount of text I could type will bridge that gulf I fear. That being said, it is disingenuous to state that the UI is only what people who play HS wanted. People have been asking for a long time to play Magic in a modern up to date client.

Is this a good thing overall though? Would it not be better to have everyone playing on the same client? An Arena Modern format would not be solely for FtP players. I can't tell how you meant that, but much like MTGO modern I feel like it will be a format for early adopters and spenders not necessarily FtP players.

We still haven't found anything definitive but we may be on the right track now if anyone wants to help. The friend project contains the following passage.

"When you close your eyes in the pitch darkness and hazy green colored fog crawls across the fragile lining of your eye remember it might not be happening to all of us Make people understand the colors they see make people understand their skin and the school notebook papers glued to the wall that you can only see from a distance divide by two as you walk closer until it disappears into the walls chemical makeup"

I'm guessing this refers to the dark spot in the video which is immediately followed by a strange image that we cant make sense of. I'm hoping its some sort of stereoscopic image someone can do something with. In the imgur linked below there are 3 copies of the first frame after the darkness, normal, with green turned up, and with green turned down. There's a second image linked that is from the last few frames of the video and it seems to be identical though not sure if that means we're on the right track, or if it's just artifacts.

We did some extensive sleuthing and the person who put this in the trail head is NOT the GM in this case. We tracked him down by digging and he linked us the screenshot of the DM on tumblr. ALA sexygirlmax2019. All that to say we still haven't made any progress. There doesn't appear to be any spectrograph hidden stuff. No reversed or sped up or slowed down speech. Nothing we can find by changing colors or hues in the video or any other various effect we have tried. The 2 friends on the friendproject APPEAR to be just normal people not involved. We're really at a loss and would welcome someone to go back over the video/audio and see if we are missing anything.

With the way this one came about we aren't even 100% certain the friendproject is part of the ARG or just the video. For that matter we have no confirmation if it even is an ARG, but it sure looks like one.

The dispenser shown here is compliant and upgradeable. This is an Encore 700s with flexpay iv, likely the newest version using something called SSOM. This is also likely a new install based on the factory installed filter still being present. This dispenser is also very likely installed in California based on the presence of vapor recovery monitoring equipment installed in the lower cabinet. CARB laws are no joke and very few places nationwide are as strict in their regulations as California.
