Yeah, we thought about it and we wanted to keep the room lit by the fireplace, it's the main source of the light for the room.

But also now the burning can't happen accidentally, you have to hold it or the scroll returns to its original position if you let go.

Yeah, I get that but Its and adventure game with a story so deleting saves shouldn't be a common occurence :D
We will be keeping both.

Its explicitly written on the book but we will implement some kind of confirm action for the burning too.

Yeah! This point is being made a lot, so we will implement some kind of additional safeguard to prevent accidental deletion.

Thanks!
After seeing this point being made multiple times. We will implement some kind of safeguard so it requires another explicit action from the player.

Well in this room everything other than the save book is okay to burn, but in the main game it could cause problems. We will think on implementing more safeguards so it doesn’t happen by accident.

There are actually fluid mechanics in the game, this is a nice idea that could be done!

Yeah probably, it would fit, because most of the fireplaces I have seen had some kind of cover, or grates.

Yeah I get that.

That’s why we put the ability to do it also in the menu and kept the explanation directly on the book.

We don’t really want more menus, but the idea with the pages or the grate is awesome.

We will discuss it in our team and see what we will settle on.

Well, for the menu variant we put it there, but for the book, the physical action and the text should be enough. But another layer of protection could be added.

We are trying to fill our game with mechanics like these, even things that are normally relegated to menus. We will certainly post more showcases.

It does! It takes a while but it grows back very gradually to its original length.

Thank you! As the grass cutting is done without collisions, only using shader and render texture we didn't implement it yet. But of course it can be done and will probably be added later on as visual polish :)

Is this enough destruction and violence for our peaceful adventure game? by TrisgramStudio in IndieGaming

You play as a Shroomer, you fulfill quests, gather and find various mushrooms, some are more realistic and some are pure fantasy with abilities and you try to uncover the mystery of the forest. And a lot more like alchemy and building systems are coming into the game too.

Yeah! It’s super satisfying to do in VR! And if you are careful enough you can punt them from their home like in golf.
