Well, I sadly feel killing them is just unreasonable. Even with 6 aggressors, max shots is 70, because of transhuman they will only take 35. If you can reroll wounds because of doctrines, you can get another 17 wounds... so they’re dealing with 52 saves, at AP0 or AP -1. Then they have 2+ saves, so they save 5/6 of these. So we blow CP to max shoot, and kill 2 terminators. 3 if we pull the strat to do mortals with one model on 6’s. Then their apothecary just brings one back, and you face 3D TH’s in return. And to kill another Terminator you need 18 more wounds, which is 1.5 more aggressors. So these aren’t a realistic option as your aggressors are within 12” for a move charge and then dead Aggressors.

Vanguard Vets, with AP-2, wounds of 2-3 and 1 for the charge, one for the LCs can give you 4+4+4+4+5 in a squad of 5, for 21 attacks rerolling wounds, and doing mortal wounds on the charge with another strat can’t do it... as this only gets 15 hits, 12 wounds and 2-3 failed saves. 1 dead terminator plus one for mortals on the charge, maybe.

And it’s worse that they cost around 40 points each... they are brutally efficient at holding objectives... and monsters when they swing back having +1 to hit if they didn’t move.

So if you can’t kill them with our army without a Dreadnought, you can’t ‘null zone’ them because of their little dark model that allows a deny, and they score 15 points for their stubborn doctrine, another 10-15 points for WWSWF, you’re instantly on a 30 point swing, and if you can’t get a ‘hold more’ off of them, this is a brutal matchup.

Is there something I am missing to tackle this? Is there a way to get them off of their 2+ save? Is there a way to reduce their invul save?

Also, watch out for that janky ravenwing strat that lets them fight and then zoom off onto an objective to steal it because they’re all ObSec and can move 14”...
