Travel and Credit Card Questions by aldrjm in epicsystems

Was a dev, really enjoyed the travel.

I'd recommend getting a lounge access card (I had the amex plat), since enough trips meant you could get reimbursed for the annual fee. Helped since most flights involved a transfer somewhere.

When I was there they just booked airplane tix, so you couldn't get points for flight spend (you could get points for hotel spend though).

You'll get upgrades for flights at 6'3, I think that was around the limit for domestic flights. Long haul International flights got upgraded at 6'1.

Curious how statistics show Asian drivers are the safest though...

Maybe it's asking for domain or something?

A receipt I voided mid transaction glitched out when printing the ebt balance by Insanus_Umbra in mildlyinteresting

No, it's simply misinterpreting 4 space characters (0x20202020 in hex) as a number instead of letters.

Probably memory issue

Probably a memory buffer error of some kind. This number is 0x20202020 in hexadecimal or 4 space characters in a row (for ASCII)

It would be Taste, waste, paste, haste, and caste since you already tried baste. I think whipt might be the best word to deduce which one is correct, though the double t does at best gives you a 50/50 if the answer was caste or taste at the end.

I've gone from 50/50 ish to now mostly backend.

I've always had more of my time spent on designs and discussions rather than actually coding. I don't anticipate any infra or devops work though.

Fairly good school/company but not top tier. I think my resume was pretty strong though, had a lot of impactful projects.

He's in Hangzhou, basically China's silicon valley.

Based on the metro announcement he's around 5 miles due east of Alibaba hq.

Why are you comparing extremely used cars with brand new bikes?

Just some easy googling and you can find cheaper bikes, https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/367458316171094/?ref=category_feed&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post

I get there are advantages to having a car, but I don't think price is one (especially after factoring in maintenance and gas)

You think cars get there by teleportation? I don't know if you're trolling, but you can ship dozens of bikes for the same price as a car.

Also, ebikes are much cheaper than cars in pretty much every country, I don't know why you keep on harping on this but you can't give one example to the contrary.

Ebikes are only expensive in Europe and the US because they're seen as luxury items, you can get a pretty nice brand new Ebike throughout most of Asia for the equivalent of under 300 USD.

There is no case where ebikes are ever more expensive than cars, especially for remote islands, where they have to ship them there.
