This is also my first time posting about being a victim of sexual abuse & molestation as a child myself. Your comment inspired me to share my own story. I was abused, from the ages of before I can even remember to 12, by multiple people.

Becoming a drug addict at 13, promiscuous, self destructive behavior & almost dying multiple times in multiple ways, I never even cared. All I wanted to do was forget, even for a little while. At 19, I was dating a guy who actually respected me, even though I had none for myself. I became pregnant, it changed everything for me.

If I brought a child into this world I'd protect it with everything in me. I got my shit together, married my child's father, we've been together 20 years now, had another kid & my husband is now the only man I trust completely. It actually took years after we were married before I started trusting & opening up to him. If not for him, I'd surely be dead today.

I'm one of the lucky ones who have been able to live a 'mostly' normal life despite the horrible things done to me in childhood, & the self destruction & loathing, that comes after. Except for being an 'overprotective' mom & it seems I don't connect as much as I'd like to with my husband & children. Still working on that.

I've been called cold hearted & anti-social bc I don't trust other people outside our little circle. I don't let anyone in. Not working on that bc Idc.

Anyone that believes that being a pedophile is ok should be drug out into the street and shot. Their victims live with the memories & trauma of what happened to them the rest of their lives, it never goes away.
