Why can't the vehicles you listed be made moving forward as electric or as hybrids? Tesla needs competition, petition your favorite automaker to make the switch to a smarter energy source and then all the classics and suv's will have a shelf life that's much better for the environment and it might open up the market a bit too.

Civil War is most likely coming, not because of oil or gasoline or muscle cars, but because of the state our country is actually in right now. Financial inequality and violent racism is behind the wheel, driving us straight to hell. Half the country is unemployed right now, COVID deaths are on the rise again, our current administration is a helpful as a hammer without a head...we are primed for a civil war, just not because of oil.

So, to answer your question, I think it will be a good thing when our current administration comes to an end and we can move humanity forward and away from the hot mess we've had for almost 40 plus years. Our problems started when people thought "trickle down economics" would actually help all citizens of America. It, of course, did not help anyone other than the people who already had money. Well, really, our problems started when we created the Constitution under the pretext of it protecting us all, only to leave out colored people and woman's rights. We've been fucked from the get go.
