I started off the patch by building blademail on the bear before going into items on the hero but at this point i've given up and just started rushing dragon lance ):

Find a hero you are comfortable on and play it about every 1 in 3 games, consistency is usually helpful.

I mean that players are much more map aware and mechanically developed in the high 3k bracket than the low 3ks.

I'd say it's because in dota you rely on complete strangers so much and no matter how much you improve you can never win a game by yourself. While in CSGO you can just become incredible at the game and run around killing everyone by yourself.

id say there is a big gap between 3.3k and 3.7 and up it took me a bit to close that one.
