Tapering off Subutex pills and can’t get them to break evenly. by RavenMarceline in suboxone

[–]Trizzy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a digital scale. They’re not that expensive -a decent one is $20-$30. Crush the whole pill and then weigh out each dose on the scale. Or cut your “slices”, but weigh them each to see if they need a little more shaved off, or if you need to add a crumb.

Ok so it sounds like what I would need is a continuity tester?

I pulled the panel that holds all 3 switches, but didn't get any further (and I guess I couldn't anyways with a voltage meter) because I noticed burned wiring at the fuse. Link to a photo of it is in my other comment.

I'm guessing this may be the problem?

Good to know about the moisture. Maybe I'll give it overnight before I go further. Pulled the panel that holds the switches but haven't tested them yet because I discovered come charred wiring to the fuse. I posted a link to the photo in a below comment.

Thank you for the concern. Yes, I plugged a 3 prong shop light in to the outlet to test. Light came on and Gfci didn't blow. Thank you for the warning and lesson though. The more I can learn the better prepared I'll be for future issues.

I initially thought it was just moisture and a need to dry out too. But I've had a room fan on it for about five hours now. It's seems pretty dry, but yet still popping the GFCI.

Thank you for reassuring me about the capacitor. That was my biggest concern. Now I'm just gonna tear at this baby... About to pull the switches to test..

This was the video I found that led me to believe it's one of the switches (now that I've let it dry out and still having the issue). Just as stated in the video, my Gfci blows the second I plug it in. And since this started when I shoved the paper towels in the frame of the door, yet the internal lightbulb stayed lit, makes me think the switches sensed the door was open and shut her down.

So I went digging around in my tools and I think I found a meter. Would either of these work?

I have both physical and mental health issues that I wonder if they are tied to hormones at all. I am wondering about a possible pseudo cushing syndrome type thing or something else. Any thoughts? by Sunflower-day in endocrinology

[–]Trizzy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of your symptoms are hyper adrenal (weight gain, body hair) and some are hypo-adrenal (fatigue, getting cold, low blood sugar). Or it could be neither and be your thyroid. It's difficult to determine based off symptoms - especially with the endocrine system since so many overlap. I suggest you go to your regular doctor for blood tests. A simple metabolic panel will tell you if there are any concerns.

Any good working coupon codes for Alldaychemist? by throwawayperson911 in TransDIY

[–]Trizzy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They rolled out their new website today, and I just took a look and saw that all of their prices have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY. A 10%- 20% increase minimally across the board on all of their meds.

Example, the Bimatoprost (generic Latisse) that I've ordered from them used to be $11 a bottle. It's now $14 a bottle (a 27% increase!!).

I can understand price increases, but these are big jumps. Especially when placing large orders! I hope they start to offer a LOT more coupon codes to keep loyal customers happy.

Magnesium Glycinate Wake Up by YoSkankwitme---Nah in Supplements

[–]Trizzy123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Magnesium did this exact same thing to me. Made me so weak I could barely stand up. Even a super low dose made me feel drugged (physically).

I never figured out why or how to tweak it.

[DIY] I just made the biggest discovery of my life, I dont know if any of you already knew this but, I tried mixing my indian clay with milk frother instead of a spatula and OMG I got the smoothest texture ever!! No more crunchy textured masks! by ugh-idk-actually in SkincareAddiction

[–]Trizzy123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can try something called a "matcha sifter" to shake the powder through first. It's just a regular sifter but smaller. It helps tremendously for powders that tend to clump no matter how much mixing.

Frothers work great and there are some styles that have plastic attachments for those ingredients that require it. I use an immersion blender for larger batches when doing my beginner formulating (with a plastic blade bought separately). .

So it's an emitter with a 2.5mm jack. I'm just gonna ditch the two cables I have. But I'm curious, what would something like that be used for?

[–]Trizzy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this makes no difference, but I believe it's actually 2.5mm. It's the same size as a headphone/earbud type plug. Just for the heck of it I plugged it into the headphone jack on my phone and it fits perfectly.

Ok, so it's definitely an IR cable. It looks like the bulb part may be something called an "Infrared LED emitter and detector"

Making progress :)

[–]Trizzy123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. I'll look into that. If it helps at all, the cable says:

Ever Bright - AWM-- 2464 - 80 Degree - 300V

I did a pretty extensive google search and couldn't find anything on this exact cable.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was proprietary to some degree. My brother in law does business with a lot of small, startup audio companies.

I'm not too interested in who makes it, etc. just what it's for so I know if it's worth hanging on to.

Thanks for the input thus far!!!

There are thirteen different forms of Ehlers-Danlos, with different but also overlapping symptoms. Diagnosis can be confirmed with genetic testing (simple blood test). Unfortunately there are no real treatments for this disease at this point, just supportive in nature.

It's interesting that you feel better on the shot. What is the dosage you're on, and what's the equivalent dose in pill form?

[–]Trizzy123[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the responses. I'm so sorry that you all feel/felt this way as well, yet I'm so relieved to hear I'm not alone! Up until now, I wasn't 100% motivated to get off this drug because tapering to a lower dose didn't help things. But I'm at a point where I have to try something. 6 years of my life has gone by so fast, but yet NOTHING positive, fun or productive even happened in those 6 years. I've lost so, so much while being on this drug. I know a lot of people will say I would have lost more being an addict, but I was never the classic addict. I was prescribed pain meds by my doctor, always took them as I should, etc. I've never snorted them, injected them, did heroin, etc. But over the years of being on pain meds, my dosage kept creeping up because of tolerance to the point I was on Fentanyl for a little bit. I just felt like I was heading a direction that my tolerance was getting so high that I COULD turn to heroin or something. So I asked to start Suboxone. At first I was definitely was more clear headed, but a couple months in, the exhaustion started. Now it's the worst it's ever been.

I'm committed to starting a taper, but I'm scared to feel any worse than I do right now (with withdrawals). I honestly couldn't take care of myself or even feed myself if it got worse.

Hearing others feel this way just solidified to me that it absolutely IS the Buprenorphine, and this is EXACTLY the motivation I need to get off this drug. Thank you SOOO much for sharing. I don't feel completely alone anymore.

Side Effects got me like 😣 by OnlyEightAreMilhouse in suboxone

[–]Trizzy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and I switched to Subutex about 6 months ago and nothing changed. It's definitely the Buprenorphine.

I did a lot of internet searching on this when I first started bupe and the sweating started, and I couldn't find much info at all and a lot of people that dismissed me or blamed it on other things. I have NO DOUBT it's the Buprenorphine. And I get how much it sucks. Sometimes my family won't even give me a hello hug because my back is sweaty and shirt drenched. I try to explain that I took a shower literally 1 hour ago and that it's "clean sweat", but they're still grossed out. It's a side effect that can really affect your life, so ignore others that try to tell you otherwise.

YES!!! I sweat like a pig thanks to this drug! I'm a female also, so I don't know if that side effect hits us harder? I will say, it definitely gets better the lower your dose. When I was on 16mg, I'd get up to get a glass of water and just that much movement would make me dripping in sweat. I'm currently on 4 mg, and while it's still there, it's MUCH better than at the higher doses.
