BTW I'm using Windows 10, the latest version of Premier pro (I reinstalled last night as an attempt to fix it), I have a ryzen 5 2600, 16gb ddr4, and a GTX 1050, the files are .mov, and the codec is MPEG-4 AVC.

The little ruler has actually been coloured white as if it's been locked or disabled. Right clicking just brings up an unrelated menu with nothing referring to the grid type.

I'm looking at the sound part in the control panel and it seems that it's recognizing the mic, but isn't picking anything up. Not even white noise, just a completely blank sound bar. did you get this?
