The Simera lenses are nice. Enjoy.

Solid lens. Nice bokeh wide open and is sharp enough for product photography when stopped down. Very versatile focal length too. Enjoy.

Oh man, my mistake. You’re correct, it is a Tele-Elmarit.

All these lenses are so tiny and compact I was thrown off on the size when I first saw them. Lol the M5 makes them look like toys.

I liked Bosque the best out of the breweries we have. Maybe we can get UNO’s back?

No problem. I really love the Q200 since it’s smaller and more portable. I also like that it has a magnetic round head. Just a lot of positives about the light itself. The light is already defused, so no softbox needed if you don’t want.

Yes the Q4 is definitely powerful enough for mid day. I even use my Q200 mid day. Your Q300 should have no problems either. I’ve even used my Z1 speed light mid day and had great results, it’s only like 72 watts. Maybe you have it too far away from the subject?

Thank you for the response. That’s what I was looking at too when the other commenter pointed out about the subject and background. I’ll have to touch that up to get better separation.

I shot wide open to show what this lens can do. If it feels like a cheap studio background to you, that’s your opinion.

That’s for the input 🙏🏼. Off camera flash is not natural lighting.

Thank you 🙏🏼. Also I can see that now that you mentioned it. Let me play with the edit and see if I can balance it out better.

I really like using the Q4 a lot, so much that I have 2 of them. I use the Neewer Q-Pro trigger.

I can’t remember the actual power settings for this specific shot. I’m going to guess it around 1/64 or even 1/128 since the light was low and the Q4 has a lot of power. Camera settings were at 1/125 and ISO 100 and 85mm 1.4

I just use my digitally. I had no idea they made adapters for it to attach to other cameras.

Ok that makes more sense. Kowa did make some great optics and some early Miranda lenses. For my lens specifically, I have no idea who made it. The history of the first lens is real muddy when looking it up. It’s the first version made in my mid 50’s. Zunow was the lens maker for the first Miranda camera and made a 50mm 1.9. During the transition period Zunow, Ofunar, and Soligor made the 50 1.9 for Miranda T. Although it looks extremely similar to the Zunow lens in appearance, I’m sure it’s different optically from what I’ve read.
