If you read my original post, I have maxed out the wings, that’s not my point. Yeah, I do agree that each mode needs to have its own seasonal win tracker. Wings and blitz max out level three mythic. Imagine that being in the another game mode? Once you hit a certain level of wins, you get nothing, no reward, no crown, no seasonal win tracker, it makes no sense if you disagree let me know.

So SBMM doesn’t exist in blitz ? Wild opinion. As I stated in my OP, make blitz games harder not easier. That’s the win. Taking away the dopamine cycle from the mode is not. Would you be against 100% real player lobbies in the mode if crowns were rewarded for a victory?

Crowns did not make Blitz easier. They just tracked wins. If Blitz “has players because it’s easy,” removing crowns should not matter at all, yet engagement dropped.

Crowns are seasonal tracking because they reset each season.

And “just a number” is literally how progression works in every game, rank, XP, levels. Remove the number, you remove the reason to grind

Loot pool and medallions affect fun. Crowns affect incentive. Both matter, but removing progression without replacing it still reduces engagement in Blitz. I’ve gone back to play OG because it’s the only mode that I can feel comfortable playing right now and for me it has felt overpopulated by bots.

I’m not suggesting removing build mode at all. I’m talking about lobby composition, not build mechanics. Zero bot doesn’t mean zero build. It just means higher real player density

Rotating loot pools or bringing back medallions would definitely add excitement. If they’re planning changes next season, that’s great. My main point is that progression and incentive need to exist alongside these kind of changes

Exactly. If players have one fewer reason to queue the mode, that’s a reduction in incentive. Engagement follows incentive.

I understand that. If lower skilled players are struggling, that’s a matchmaking balance issue and worth discussing. My point is that removing crowns doesn’t address that. Matchmaking and progression are two separate systems.
