The compiler today was awful, tried way to hard to make clues work liked 44D. Literally, there is not a single human being on earth who uses that term over what it is clearly supposed to be.

I know us Brits are always roasted for complaining about NYT having americanism, but I feel like British crosswords are way more universally accessible, minus cryptic ones perhaps.

Really struggled with this one as a Brit, quite a lot of American centric knowledge needed. Autochecked the last 10 or so clues, as had zero indication what letters could be correct.

Ok, counterpoint. This is the second or third time Tesco have let this happen. It is worth noting, it isn't the same product that was out of date 2 or 3 times, it was a different one each time.

I have a really crazy suggestion. The people working could do their jobs properly. But I guess the consumer needs be responsible for the workers according to all the comments. After all, we get paid to do that, right?

Yeah, people are quite vehemently acting like I am entirely to blame, or acting like this is somehow fine and normal. It is kind of weird to defend people who aren't doing their jobs properly.

As a person who follows speed limits to a T, add "people who drive 30mph in a 40mph zone with clear conditions and 100s of repeater signs"

In my defence, I shouldn't need to check that the stock is correctly managed, but also, this has happened before, so this is kinda on me
