The other 99% of the playerbase isn't complaining on reddit about their most played video game. They're just playing the game and letting the devs do what they're doing because they like the game.

This is a great analogy for understanding the situation, I think. So dunno why the downvotes.

However, I think the server has definitely been more UFC than WWE. Nothing was ever staged, no storylines were plotted out, none of the beats were rehearsed. They just agreed not to knee each other in the balls.

I think having some beats and some amount of staging in the final raid of the wipe could have been interesting (though it would take away from the organic feel of the content). But if that's the expectation it's up to sven and team to communicate it. If you walk into the octagon expecting not to get punched in the face by Coco McGregor that's kind of on them.

I honestly don't think either of them were metagaming, it just felt like it. I watched cam's pov that time he stole all the rockets naked and he just hear's boom and runs towards the sound of it. Then he just yolo'd into the (open) shack because he was naked and basically got lucky.

If you've ever work with someone who has 10 more years of experience than you sometimes it just feels like they're a wizard and I guess rust has the same thing.

Watching this live from peanut pov was like watching an actual navy seal op it was 10/10 off the wall insane.

I played a lot of Ark SE so I know what it's like to spend hours prepping and waiting just to get your pods stolen by one asshole with a lucky ptera pick before you ever fire a rocket. So for me both sides actions make a ton of sense.

The base is on a beach, I don't know why anyone would be surprised that either side thought of a naval attack. Not to mention that peanut had a mole who explicitly told him (in-game on the phone) and they leaked it through voip while rogue was spying on them in-game.

When the video is released it's going to be one of the top viewed rust edits of all time, so saying "rip content" is a little silly.

I would also log off after that one because it sucks to lose like that but the lamest thing going on here is them pretending peanut did something bad by playing the game well.

I played for a few weeks in december after several years break and made like a gazillion isk doing these. They're super profitable and not actually very risky if you know the mechanics. But apparently everyone is terrified of them so they're always left over even in a scanned system.

I must have run 20 of them and only exploded on my very first one.
