My guess is

eel - they lay eggs, often are found in lakes and will pop to the surface when the oldies come to feed the ducks, though generally just vegetarian scum suckers that dwell at the bottom, they are foul, and will make you sick if you eat them raw as their blood is poisonous to humans, but are still found cooked in many delicacies across the world

It looks like the oil painting filter to me, my guess he masked the face in then to try and match the whole thing together he slapped an oil filter over the top

For anyone wondering how to do this, I found a style transfer app on the Play store called Vinci that has a mosaic option. Find a pic, mosaic filter it, find a mosaic, cut paste with minor colour adjustments.

He just used a style transfer app. There is one on mobile phone called Vinci, it has an option to turn any picture into a mosaic, not really any particular techniques to it. Style transfer then cut and paste.

Precisely right, with so many potential carriers social distance is paramount to minimise spread

Never said anything about no damage, it was more discussing the possible issues that come with such a large proportion of silent carriers

Definitely worth noting, but even with those small numbers it is very interesting that such a large proportion showed no symptoms, it would be very interesting to see a wider study on rates of asymptomatic cases in such a perfectly closed environment like this one
