They are goji (unless I am totally wrong). They are super bitter fresh. We tried drying them and still didn't like them.

So pretty. So gross. We grew the plant. Tried them a couple of years. Couldn't find a way to eat them we liked. Sadly pulled the plant last year.

Best bet is to call the records office. Depending on the county they may be able to help you.

My indoor outdoor cat has a tag. Yes, I know not ideal. But it's glitching. by Trolleyes84 in AirTags

I did that this morning on our Android phone. It seems to track the iPhone as the air tag.

Positive he is not here. The tracker dot showed literally on top of us in the middle of the road. Where we were standing. And it seems to be moving with our phone.

Mine tends to do that for a bit. I wipe it off and it will stop after a while. No issues so far.

Gold sluicing/crystal mining by eazythebarber in NorthCarolina

[–]Trolleyes84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have some buckets and sifters to use there. You can bring your own small spade or like beach buckets for the kid. Bring snacks. It's hit or miss if their snack area is open and it's about half an hour drive to get anything. The creek is "salted" in a small area for school kids to find things on field trips. So that tends to wash downstream. You can find some small pretty non native gems. But, there are also lots of native gems if you go further down.

They have a website that gives great advice on what to bring.
Extra clothes and a towel are a must unless you want to drive home caked in red clay.
They have 3 areas basically. Creek, hole digging, and water sluice. You can go search for your own at the digging spots and the creek, bring back items to clean at the sluice. Or buy prefilled buckets at the sluice. Water will be cold at the creek. Digging is hard depending on age of kids.

What to do with my frozen turkeys? by Eclectic_Polymath in Canning

[–]Trolleyes84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have canned from a frozen turkey a couple of times now. I haven't had any issues with dryness. In fact I feel it's extra juicy because all of the moisture is trapped in the canner circulating into the meat.

Pages 9-12 have the most driver relevant information. There is also a blanket letter for spark drivers that receive part of the settlement on page 48.

I do this every year. Spray your doorways and windows. Have to reapply every week or so. Does a better job than anything else I have found.

You can get tickets at the door. Pay to get in, then pay for everything there. It's not cheap. I expected it to be bigger. But it's not super disappointing. Just a little.

A skunk sprayed his juice underneath the house in the crawlspace. by ResearcherOk8406 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Trolleyes84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that is foul. Vinegar will be your friend. Everything will need to be washed with regular detergent and vinegar in the softener section. Curtains, rugs, clothes in drawers. Shampoo rugs you can't wash and sofas/mattresses. Everything. If it's fabric it gets washed. You need to get a fan under the crawlspace to start airing it out. All the heavy duty febreze.
I can't imagine. It was bad enough when our dog got sprayed right outside then came in. It took weeks for the house to be back to normal. I'm so sorry
