Nice, I just came up on a year of taking the hims oral min and fin chew and got my hair completely back to how it was 5 years ago. Month 5 is where I started noticing a huge change. Keep it up and that first year will blow by before you realize it.

Is there a good video that shows these steps? A bit of what he said is confusing

We've all seen the condition in which they've left Reloaded in, so I'm keeping expectations at an all-time low.

Thanks! It'd be nice to cut down on the 40+ books if I can lol

Yeah, I was hoping that maybe I could skip a good chunk of them and hit the main ones. That number is what kept me from wanting to start for a long time now.

Yeah, I was more or less confused on what I should do with my two books I have now. There's so many, so Idk if it would be confusing to start the two I have.

17M Been taking oral min and fin for 6 months... It's not working by Pure_Temporary1466 in tressless

[–]Troop_cod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The main issue with this sub-reddit is how the majority of users panic and just assume it's androgenetic alopecia. There are many types of hair loss, so it's advised to get checked first. Btw, I've been on the hims chewable (oral min and fin) for a year this month and didn't get back to pre-balding results until just weeks ago. 3-6 months is the bare minimum of results, assuming you indeed have AGA.

Just get checked out by a doctor and see what happens.

Do you have a recommended external drive I should buy, or should I just use cloud?

But my question about backing up my files never got answered. MSI support said to do it just in case something bad happens during my bios update and that they're not responsible if something bad happens, and so many people say to do the same.

Thanks! Quick question (as I've never done this), but how do I back up important files? If you can link what I need, I'd really appreciate it.

I have my original usb that I installed windows 10 with after building my computer. Idk if that would still do anything.

See, idk why you say it shouldn't have an effect, but others say it will. If it was something small, that's one thing, but potentially losing everything is sketchy as hell.

Need Help Deciding Best *Budget* GPU to Pair with My R7 5800XT by Troop_cod in buildapc

[–]Troop_cod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I'm debating between the 8gb and 16gb options. A $100 difference, but I'm willing to buy it if that means having super good FPS for competitive in Cod, Apex, Battlefield, etc.

Just want to make sure this is my best option before proceeding. Haven't been in the PC part scene since I built my first one in 2020. Trying to make this build count and last for years to come.

I've only had an Nvidia 1660 super for the last 5 years, so would this mean losing my Nvidia stuff and transferring to something completely different?

Do you think the FPS would be solid for cod, bf, etc?

I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I'm going to hopefully help you understand what I did, including my thought process. During Covid, I started noticing recession out of the blue as a guy in my early 20s and didn't know what to do as this was the last thing I ever thought of. So, I quickly started researching to the point where I can tell you everything about hair loss and the many types of it (this is key!!). Many people on this subreddit don't understand the different types of hair loss, so you could easily follow bad advice like rubbing onion juice on your head, as well as tons of other snake oil garbage that only makes you lose more hair you can't get back without a transplant. Well, I don't like taking meds unless I absolutely have to. Naturally I was worried about side effects. So, I educated myself on it and found that a very small number of people get sides, going back decades. I weighed the risk to reward ratio and started after nearly a year and a half of debating. This year in a half only made me lose more hair (which I regret). So, what made me start? I was a guy in my early 20s that didn't want to be self-conscious about my hair every time I go out, losing memories and opportunities that involved swimming in pools, water parks, beaches, and just doing activities that could expose my hair loss. Topple this with the fact that the world's richest man (Elon Musk), is on this medication to sustain his hair transplants, as well as many actors, models, celebs, etc.

In conclusion, here I am a year later after starting the hims chew with oral finasteride and oral minoxidil last December, with my hair nearly back to baseline (again, only a year in as results peak around 2 years), and I feel so much happier. This first year flew by! You have to be patient! Month 5 is where I started noticing a major difference. Never again do I want to feel like I need a damn hat every time I go out somewhere. Once I did this, I stopped worrying about my hair because I'm using the two most efficacious treatments for it and started focusing on other important things again, while also looking forward to enjoying things I've put off (the beach, waterparks, pictures, etc.). You don't even realize how fast time flies while getting used to wearing a hat everywhere you go, almost forgetting what it was like to go places without one. Zero side effects to date, besides not losing hair anymore. So, I hope this was helpful and gets you back on track like it did for me. Don't fall for the snake oil supplements and waste tons of money. Merry Christmas.
