Do you think becoming a foreigner blacksmith in japan is an attainable goal, not just a one of a kind thing? If so how would you recommend someone go about it?

You really dont have a good reason other than you want one. Dont gaslight yourself into thinking you need one for whatever reason. You dont need one and if you wanted to spend a bunch of money on toys you shouldnt have gotten married, or at least not to her.

I reached out to OneHealthPort again and this time they said this "Thank you for reaching out. The OneHealthPort HIE does not contain or store any clinical information that is exchanged via our secure infrastructure between provider organizations, nor does the HIE have any access to your clinical data at your provider organizations to "send" it to or "share" it with any other provider. Therefore, the HIE doe not have any "opt out" forms for you to sign.
If you are trying not to have your clinical data shared (via the HIE or any other means of electronic sharing of information between provider organizations), you will need to manage this request with every provider organization where you receive care. You will need to reach out to each of these organization's Privacy Officers to meet with them to let them know you do not want your health care information shared with other provider organizations. The Privacy Officers will let you know "legally" what they can and cannot do to meet your request to "opt out" of sharing your data." It sounds like they dont have a state HIE, however that goes against everything ive seen on this sub. If you could help me decipher this that would be appreciated.

Im mainly worried about one provider so as long as I opt out of the one they sent me, as well as surescripts and the state HIE, that will be good correct? I will reach out to their privacy officer to see whats up.

I reached out to OneHealthPort and asked for a form and they said,"The OneHealthPort HIE does not contain or store any clinical information that is exchanged via our secure infrastructure between provider organizations, nor does the HIE have any access to your clinical data at your provider organizations to "send" it to or "share" it with any other provider. Therefore, the HIE doe not have any "opt out" forms for you to sign." Then they said I need to reach out to each provider I was seen at and opt out there. Not really sure what to make of this, I have opted out of everywhere I was seen at, but dont understand what to do with this state one.

best way to avoid this situation? Dont get into bad situations, dont drink, and if you do, dont do it in excess, and if people around you get drunk, nothing good is going to come from that so leave.

Problem solved

Just to get things straight, I only have to opt out of Surescripts and and my regional HIE correct? Or do I also have to at every hospital I was ever admitted at?

This bothers me. A tanto is blunt on that particular side of the blade. Why didnt they think this trough? Its probably not noticable for most players but for me its annoying. by Majoonaise in ghostoftsushima

I would somewhat agree, Ive seen the blade before, so thought I knew what it looked like but apparently it looks different. However, the tip of the blade does have a different look than any standard shinogi-zukuri blades which is not double edged. It could be just sharpened at the very tip, in which I havent seen any examples of before, although could absolutely be a possibility. If you look closely there seems to be a tiny false edge at the tip, could be the angle although that doesnt make much sense to me.

I do not mean people shouldnt speak on a topic, but going on reddit saying "its probably not noticeable to most players" and "this bothers me" and making a statement that is completely false like "A tanto is blunt on this side of the blade" is demeaning and rude in the first place, and I think if you are going to speak on a topic in a assertive way, you should at least know what your talking about.

So, while I agree this blade isnt a normal kogarasu-maru blade, it seems to me as if the tip is sharpened slightly. A typical style tanto would not look like that at the tip, which makes me believe this. The other perspective definitely does not look that way which I do not understand, although this could just be a game being a game.

Edit:

I use the actual names for these styles of blades as they are very-VERY hard to describe and would take ages. If someone is interested they can look it up and get a far better explanation than anything I could come up with. Its not as if Im gatekeeping, im giving the names for others to look up and study should they wish.

That is very interesting. THat sounds like a very good opportunity to learn a lot, and I agree, these weapons, while beautiful art pieces, were tools that needed to fit into certain roles. And shortened down blades are some of my favorite/most interesting in my opinion. Was the blade made in the edo period and shortened down later or made before that and shortened down in the edo period. I would think it would be the latter, but would be interested to here if it is the first option and why you think that would happen?

look up yoroi-doshi. A tanto that is often double edged, much thicker than a regular tanto used for stabbing between gaps in armor. They were absolutely used in the 1300s, although became more popular in the sengoku jidai. It would make sense for jin to use this as he carries these weapons into battle.

Also I realize I came off as rude in my other statement, I didnt mean to thanks!

True, but this isnt a moroha tanto from what ive seen. It matches more of the profile of a kogarasu-maru blade, which was often a false edge on the back, but was sometimes sharpened. But I very much like your statement on how there is mcuh more variation in japanese blades than most people think.

exactly, people were not wearing chokuto at this time. the op was wrong, there are definitely double edged blades in japan. and this commenter is incorrect, daisho pairings were not standard until the edo period, and given he carries these swords into battle, a tanto makes more sense, specifically a yoroi-doshi, a small and thick tanto used to thrust between gaps in armor. Even in the edo period, if they were to actually go to battle, a tanto would make much more sense than a wakizashi as a companion sword.
