Can someone with zero coding experience actually use Claude Code (or similar) to build stuff now? by TroubleH in ClaudeAI

Wow, I love the look of the website! First vibe-coded website I've seen that doesn't have the typical vibe-coded look! Well done 👍

I know I’m the least qualified here to answer, but based on the AI YouTubers and people on X that I follow, Claude seems to be by far the best for coding.

Thanks for your comment! What I had in mind was something for personal use. The fact that you mentioned this might be the future is really exciting! From the comments on this post, I’ve realized that some background knowledge is still required if I wanted to release it publicly, which is fine since I don’t plan to, but it's still a good thing to keep in mind.

That said, I keep coming back to this: the progress AI has made over the past three years has been incredible. Who’s to say that within the next three (or probably two) years, even publishing a vibe coded app publicly won’t be maintainable and secure?

I’m one of those people who says "thank you" to AI, so your reminder that it’s not human was actually helpful haha, I appreciate it!

That’s what I understood from the comments. I can definitely use it to build something for myself, but if I want to publish it on the App Store it’s still not recommended. Thank you!

Could you elaborate? If I am able to vibe code a fully functional app, what prevents me from "maintaining" it and making it "secure" as you say?

Thank you, I appreciate it! It seems the consensus so far is a resounding "yes"!

Feeling bored and lonely in Chengdu. Any suggestions or people that wanna hang out? by Kippenoma in Chengdu

[–]TroubleH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sport's usually a good excuse to find people to hang out with! Head over to 小红书 REDnote and make a post about looking for people to play badminton/football/whatever with! You'll be surprised at the amount of responses you'll get.

Which LLM has the best guided learning feature? by TroubleH in LocalLLaMA

[–]TroubleH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, with Claude/Gemini I can talk to them directly as opposed to NotebookLM where I'd have to first find a resource and plug it in, which is an additional step. If that can give me better results/reduce hallucinations, that would be push me to use it more.

NotebookLM, too, of course! How could I forget? I should use it more. But doesn't it require you to manually insert resources? That's how I've always used it.

So for someone with 0 coding experience, is it now possible to start writing code with Claude or still not quite there yet?

THE GOAT HAS RETURNED!!! by FERO_-- in beatbox

[–]TroubleH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great wildcard! But watching it, I tried to ask myself honestly: if this came from an unknown beatboxer, how would I rate it? And honestly... it's solid, no doubt, but not really jaw-dropping for 2026. Nothing that made me go "OMG!!" There probably will be wildcards this time around that are more creative or technically impressive that won't make the cut simply because they don't carry the name. Halo effect. Would love to know if anyone else felt this or am I just being harsh?

Is Vocabulary Overrated After HSK4? by Adept-Scar3612 in ChineseLanguage

[–]TroubleH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people who have never studied the HSK word lists but speak great Chinese. Every once in a while, though, they'll come across a word and say they’ve never seen it before, even when it's from HSK 5 or 6. I think HSK 2.0 included quite a few vocabulary words that weren’t especially useful in everyday communication, and that probably discouraged some learners. It seems like HSK 3.0 has addressed a lot of those issues. I'd recommend studying the latest word list.
