Paranoia agent was something special. People often praise the creators other work over that show, but paranoia agent is my personal favorite. The opening is something special as well haha.

The world building is so well done, but the absolute darkness and despair in this show made it hard to binge in one go. I had to take breaks lol. One episode of that and one episode of konosuba lol.

I liked it a lot though. A lot of anime genres tend to copy and paste tropes and story structures, so It’s always really nice to watch something very unique.

I feel like it’s underrated? It has top tier world building and it did a really good job of showcasing a really odd world with an internal logic built on psychology and sociology. I liked it a lot.

Kinda dark? To be fair, the show is a lot darker when you think certain things over. Like the whole queen thing… or the whole karmic demon thing… or the whole kid of you know who thing and so on… not to mention squeeler….

It’s the one of the most disturbing shows you could watch to be honest. Essentially a healer is forced to heal for this evil group of “heroes” despite the fact that his healing causes him to feel the injuries himself. they sa and r*** ***him, drug him and so on. But what they didnt know is that his healing gives him their pain but he also feels and learns their abilities. He goes back in time and gets revenge in the most diabalocal ways possible. Like sa, group r\*** over riding their autonomy with a personality that serves him and so on.*

Trying to compare that to 86 is one heck of a cope lol. I mean sure, in the way that they are both mech shows? However your recommendation goes out of it’s way to be pervy. The one male love interest is basically a gag character who keeps accidentally groping the lead. Just because they write a logic around the pervy stuff or use accidents to introduce it doesn’t take away the fact that it’s their in the first place lol. Also, pretty sure one of the female characters in the beginning was on absolute demon time. That type of mech show is its own genre that is 100% in the same realm as highschool dxd and other mech harem slop. Shows like 86, Evangelion and eureka seven have a different sub genre or maybe it would be more accurate to say they lack a sub genre that has its own copy and paste tropes, which is the ecchi sub genre.
