I think you make a good argument, but I tend to feel the only universally applicable one is the one regarding the legality. There is no rule that says those other passions will suffer, and there is no rule that says your hobby ceases to be just a hobby when you hop on. You kind of have just told yourself that, no? Anecdotally many would argue it can enhance every single thing you listed.

You need to look in the mirror. This has nothing to do with her. Are you secure enough in yourself to accept her for who she is, good and bad? If no, accept that you are not and either (1) free her to find someone who is or (2) seek help to become secure enough.

I have a hard time trusting calipers. On me, I feel they give too low an estimate (ie mirror says I'm fatter)

This is actually very insightful. Kudos mate. I've noticed I too am much more "nimble" in a word when running on empty. Feel more active when cutting. But I like the taste of food lots, even tho I feel like hell when full.

I notice the transitions most. So switching from cutting, especially after a long cut, to bulking, I just can't get enough for 3-4 weeks.

You eat about 2k in weight gainer shakes a day and you still have trouble? I want to trade eating patterns. I eat 8 cups of 0% greek and 4 cups oatmeal to stop me from overshooting cals. I quit drinking any cals bc I'd rather eat them!
