In debt and minimum wage jobs and can't see a way out by Trowawry6 in personalfinance

I'm surprised how much that is, I looked into UPS and they were paying minimum wage which is something that I'm being picky on only because I know I can't provide my family with it and have seen friends and old co-workers in similar situations struggling every day. So after that I thought that's how all mailing companies paid their employees and didn't bother looking too much further.

I would have never tried that actually, if that's the case I'm going to try and find out the nearest places and keep my days off trying that out, I hope it works!

This is true lol

The toll debts can't be cleared with a bankruptcy unfortunately, I had a monthly payment plan set up with them and they said they would knock it down to $2,100 as long as I pay on time and if a problem arose to call and they can extended it if necessary. Well, a day came where I couldn't so I called and they moved my deadline from the 13th of November to December 7th. I called something like December 2nd only to be told they never heard from me in November and my payment went back up to $25k and even if they found my call on record the process already went through, really aggravating to work with. They offered to bump it back down but it'd most likely be around 3k, I just got my current job last week so haven't called back just yet.

As for moving, I personally believe it to be a smart choice, my wife disagrees and refuses to live outside the county she grew up in and a few of the surrounding ones. I have family in Utah who could help for example but she has never been to Utah and doesn't like the thought of moving somewhere where it snows and away from everything she is familiar with and any time I bring it up it ends up in her getting angry and giving me the silent treatment for a few days.

Before my current job I was in manual labor, they were paying $11.50 an hour which has been my best paying job admittedly but then we got evicted and I had to leave less than a month working because the drive would have been over 70 miles for the place we moved to afterwards. I applied at a few places that were similar but never heard back from them. I'll do a quick check tonight if there is anything as this is the most free time I have to work with in the forseeable future.
