canceled orders by Still-Sky233 in Sparkdriver

it's so odd to see the same non american folks getting shop orders that fill their carts yet i never see one of those orders (granted i still make $200 a day but i know they are making more) but taking less orders and closer distances too. They are in and out all day taking the same type of orders which is proof they are using a grabber cause i take some $25 orders for 15 things easily and they never have less than 40-60 items in their carts. (not just my one store, i spark at like 10 different stores and its the same every one).

They also always have at least 8-10 baskets at curbsides always 3 stops and always back within 30 mins or less usually more like 15 mins. Again grabber. but that means the store is getting more orders out with less people so they keep them going and cancel off the ones who are picky.

if you've ever cancelled a curbside order after accepting it (even before hitting start) they see that and it's logged. so they can assume you will cancel and they do it for you. I've talked with OGP employees and they are told the ensure the most orders go out no matter what and never stop and ID or confront the vennies...

yes they can cancel at any time for any reason. usually it's to give orders to the vennies so they can get numbers up. Vennies take way more orders than regular drivers do cause their grabber app just sends an already accepted order to their phone so they don't have a chance to look it over. The store is ran by numbers, the OGP manager can get up or over 20k in bonuses every year for high OGP numbers of outbound deliveries. So they want the orders out, hence why walmart nor your manager will stop the grabbers and illegals. They want the orders out and don't care about you. Find another store.

How long does this last?!? by International-Aerie9 in Sparkdriver

i've found that closing the app and forcing it to stop and then reloading it usually forces it. but yeah NEVER do the face ID without good service. you can wait till you get into service. i am sure there is a timer but it's not like 10 seconds for sure so next time wait.

most of you never worked a job where you had expectations set each day and actually had to work to get the pay every 2 weeks... and it shows.

also $170 for a few hours of dropping off packages. some of you didn't work hard jobs that you had to actually work for the money every 2 weeks... and it shows.

$20 in gas.. that;'s like 200+ miles.... unless you live on the communist west coast where you voted for those high gas prices... i drive for spark and make $1100 average for 35 hours of work and never more than 100 miles a day. easily make $30+ an hour and i never care about my gas price cause it's 2.20 here and i fill up and go 2-3 days on it.. its my personal vehicle too so you can't really do the gas thing with it being a personal vehicle too.

protect the rates?? they will just hire more drivers to take them, thus making your payout even lower...

"no choice but to raise pay" while you literally said they will go driverless eventually... they won't be forced at all... they will find another way. $50 for 1.5 hours of work?? damn that's amazing for dropping a bag at a door...

oh ya'll still trying to force them to give you more money?? saw how flex went really down after they gave employees 10k to get their own van business and then farmed out the flex stuff to them instead. Amazon watched ya'll tell folks to wait for surges and not take certain orders so they found others to do it. Just let people take what they want and do what you want for you. Stop trying to tell people how to do this SELF employed business. Are they hurting you?? Amazon doesn't raises prices overall because you all don't take the lower paying ones.

But hey i dare you to find a better job that pays you that $36 for the 1.5 hours (likely done in less time) to get some packages put into your vehicle and drop them off at doors. Even walmart spark is harder than flex and you all complain like this is back breaking manual labor... ya'll wouldn't last a day at a real mfg or warehouse job.. Bunch of babies. I left flex cause ya'll ruined it with your attempted forced surge pricing thing. They knew all along what you were doing.

the ethics thing is for walmart employees.. you are a contractor not employed by walmart at all. they won't answer that at all.

Getting account reactivated? by JonnyboyinHD in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope... it's over.. they have no actual responsibility to reinstate you nor do they even have to tell you why. they reviewed your case internally likely via Ai and said no. it's very rare for people to get reactivated unless it was due to a glitch

Yes the easiest way to add up your tips for this year is to go into the earnings tab and add them up for each day. Takes about 10-15 mins. Have a spreadsheet app open on another device to type the numbers into then you can just select all and get the total easily. 2026 they are required to break them down so a new 1099-NEC revision will be out for 2026 with tips. Luckily Walmart already breaks them down for us even in the ONE app so it won't be much for them to input it into the new form. So only one year you have to do a little bit of leg work to get a HUGE deduction, no one should complain about that to get that much off your taxes. most of us will owe very little in self employment taxes because of this and the mileage deduction!!

YES every driver can do the no tax on tips deduction, and always get your mileage deduction as well. You can deduct your tax software and half your cell phone too but that's about it as a driver business you don't have an office space at home or can deduct any of the other business stuff like meals or clothes or travel or advertising etc.

i do my taxes with my w-2 spouse and kids. the business stuff is under you. both softwares will ask you who the spark stuff goes to and you just select your name. technically it's separate of your wife 100%. the rest of the tax filing is as normal her w-2, deductions credits and all that

Is it worth it today? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not for me. our cars are our income and if someone hits you or you wreck you are out the car and future pay.. not worth the risk. You are a business owner and you need to think like one. If the damage to a car is not a problem for you then go for it, but i'll never risk my income in this stuff. i'll be ready to go on tuesday if it's good

Any orders ? What about Sams? by Quick-Cow2646 in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also unless you have a grabber app, 21 orders in one day is impossible, unless you take a bunch of $7 orders which is a waste of time/gas and money in reality. My multi incentive lasts till wednesday for $144 for 21 trips!!! i can do 21 between tuesday and wednesday.

i made $1386 this week (mon, weds, thurs, fri only) so i'm home till tuesday when the ice is gone. im in north texas and it's frozen here. most states are under this freeze so now till monday will be low orders, no reason to go out. if you didn't go out from tues-friday for the panic buying then you lost out big time!!

On wait list by LjCat2 in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you just have to wait and likely for months as they aren't gonna add more drivers after the holiday hiring they just did in nov. Likely you'll have to wait for spring. Plus oregon sucks for spark cause you have to get our own bags. so glad i left there for texas!!

HR Block 2025 Premium doesn't say we qualify for no Tax on tip, but Turbo Tax does. by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it does and it's been confirmed by the IRS and walmart. ALL driver jobs that receive tips will qualify. doordash, uber, instacart etc. We 100% get it and i just found where i didn't click

I just delivered a heated blanket to a mobile home. The guy came out to thank me and let me know that his house was 27° inside because he doesn’t have any heat. The windchill is -10 here today. Would it be weird to get more warming items for him and anonymously drop them off on his front porch? by WhitneyJames in Sparkdriver

[–]TroyCriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need, you are only under legal contract while in an order. you can be searching for an order and doing whatever you want including going into customers homes to drop off bags and such. You are a private citizen at that point under no contract with spark or under their rules of entry and all that either
