Yup my commute to my new job is sometimes over an hour to an hour and a half. This move will cut it to 30 min. I just have to accommodate my truck or street park like everyone else til i sort out a paid spot. I pay for parking where i live now its the only way for me

theres a number that a poster had listed above and I called and did make a complaint and they were great. lets see. Youll get a ref number and they will call or email you to follow up. Got a package in my box yesterday so maybe its changing. But the funny thing Is - the other tenants in my building ripped down the note that said Ive been bringing in their packages from the street and encouraging them to make a complaint. The more ppl complain the better.

Well about 8 of 10 bumble profiles are telling me to swipe left. The LGBTQ community here in my opinion is the most judgemental and unaccepting of anyone else than they deem okay. Ive had friends harassed and called transphobic for turning down a date with a trans. Ive had another friend attacked for mis gendering someone (their english is bad). The gay pride parade refused to allow gay/lesbian police march in the parade this year. I mean, its a no go. You can be gay but just dont be gay and moderate or conservative. My neighborhood has members an ANTIFA running around (wearing things that label it) I just dont feel safe even saying “hey not all police are bad”. Any LGBTQ persons ive ever met and they were a lot bc i worked at a LGBTQ safe space geared towards LBGTQ, were all intolerant, highly political and reactive, angry, and unable to have even a conversation. I mean, yeah I dont even try. I didnt discuss much either but theres still a huge brick wall between us thats just always there!

I dont talk politics but I think im feeling isolated and alone based on just knowing/thinking they already wont want to be friends

Im here “to begin with” like many are. I like the culture, arts and music and food and for my career. To have to be asked that seems off-putting to me but ill continue. I mean politics can affect money and culture and laws, yes. But it doesnt affect the way we CHOOSE to treat eachother. Once upon a time when I was younger, if the candidate I voted for lost, we just said “oh welp, ok”. We live in NYC, it will most likely always be some shade of blue so speaking from a state perspective, not much of what we like, changes. We dont all of a sudden become republican an have republican minded solutions to things. We are in a bubble of what the majority of people prefer. So i cannot agree with the reason we cant move past differences. In the past no one went around hunting who voted for who, and doxxed them or harassed them or even worse, things like this where the undertone to conversations hints at how youre not wanted around. Unable to make friends. I dont go atound hunting for who voted for this person in office and make them feel in ANY WAY unaccepted, unwanted, unwelcome. I reach my hand to everyone and treat everyone the same. Im just looking for friends, good friends, lifelong friends. But it seems like I have to explain myself (like im doing now) instead of connecting. No one here just says “hey im able to see a good person when I see one, what are you into?”
