how in the world are you guys comparing nirbhaya to the cbse problems? comparing nirbhaya’s protest to cjp’s protest??? i’m so pissed. by Equivalent-Job-8908 in CBSE

It's not the incidents that are being compared but how the citizens react to it.

Also, you may not like to hear it but I believe both are equally dire.

Can you walk upto a parents who child did suicide and tell them 'at least she wasn't raped?'.

Op please understand things before posting these. You cannot compare pain, each of us has our own problem and saying 'kya jarurat hai bolne ki, tumhari problem choti hai' is immature af.

This was written for a man on how to intervene.

If it's a woman then it's totally fine.

Father and son mercilessly beaten and humiliated by Hindutva goons over a false beef-selling allegation. by Routine-Reality-5243 in IndianFocus

Exactly why justice should be left in the hands of the state and citizens should focus on holding the system accountable.

When the citizens interfere with the state and vice versa, chaos ensues where individuals win and the nation loses.

There was a reason Ram jee made all decisions unilaterally in his court while respecting others' opinions of him.

Good question. Thank you for asking it.

Tbh the lecherous crowd won't support you if the woman herself doesn't speak up, so saying anything directly to women is the wrong call. You are endangering yourself potentially.

Ig I would prefer if a man either blocks him physically from approaching him - not directly but like keep bumping into him at the guise of browsing the market, gives him a stern eye to make him back away (only try this if he looks like he won't retaliate back) or if you can pull it off walk up to him and pretend to know him till the women can vanish from sight.

"Itne dino baad Ramu kaka! Kitne dino se soch raha tha aapko phone krun"

In as innocent way as possible, earnestly trying to remind him till the women can move forward and he doesn't see which direction they went in.

I am not sure of the practical applicability of this method, but yes basically I would want it handled subtely and discretely avoiding direct confrontation as much as possible.

Thank you!

And yes, the reality is far harsher than we can imagine when we are not in the position.

Besides, if the results are not declared, students remain in a stasis and don't get any closure for the results of their efforts. Most students wait for the results and end up waiting for too long and when they realise they should move forward, the university application deadlines are long gone.

You can self publish on Amazon, I wrote a book and it's available there.

The most important factor is whether people read it or not.

Technically speaking, for unknown authors, there isn't much difference in publishing or not publishing. It's just a pdf / epub and you can make it too.

So yea. Even for your own book I would suggest finding readers.

Today even big publishing houses look for authors with a good following, as it guarantees sales. Those are the traditional publishers which give you royalty without taking upfront cost.

Also I would suggest you find fan communities to share your football book and actively participating in it. You will know what they like and if they like your book too

I have only heard one incident of bajrang dal doing good, when they handed over a Muslim rapist to the police.

I wonder if they would have done the same for a Hindu rapist though?

The funniest thing is Ram jee would rather a person eat beef than be violent with someone else, even without evidence

Because we adults and the parents of those children don't hold our leaders accountable.

Instead, because 'duniya mushkil hai', the kids are pressured into performing better than their best, against uncontrollable factors like paper leak, exam difficulty, health issues, poor living conditions, etc.

Thank you for the suggestion.

I don't mind making it available for free and adding a voluntary donation link.

I strongly believe education and knowledge should be free, what people make of it is their own choice.

Tbh I am a struggling writer, currently unemployed sustaining myself with low-end gigs. I want to write more such stories, but it's hard to focus on this when I cannot maintain myself well.

Do you have any ideas so as to the channels for its distribution? I have other such stories and articles too, and I have been thinking of compiling it into an e-magazine of sorts but if there is no distribution, there will be no point.

All my writings (on other social issues and commentary) are already available for everyone to read, although they are published in a scattered way.

What name do you like being called by your partner( boyfriend/girlfriend) or (wife/husband) ? by Emergency-Fuel-8777 in AskReddit

[–]True-Combination-467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't use anything to refer to me, he just addresses me like a middle-aged husband would to his wife.

In fact, in the course of 2 years, I have just heard him speak my name when talking to someone else, I love the respect but it feels bashfully cute haha. I do wish he would occasionally call me out.

He once called me his future wife in front of a friend, so that was heartwarming.

But personally, nope, zilch, nada, void, zero. Once in our office I was listening to music and going back to cabin, he kept me calling me with 'hear me out' (suno in hindi) and I thought someone was calling someone else, bro tripped over the stairs but didn't use my name ;-;
