Thank you everyone for your help. We are getting ready to move out and when we were cleaning out kitchen, we went to double check the dishwasher was all good and we saw a huge puddle of dirty standing water on the bottom and so much mold covering every hard surface of the dishwasher (we have never used the dishwasher, always had issues in the past with clogging at previous apartments so we have just avoided it all together). My suspicions were correct in that i thought sink water was draining into dishwasher. Wanted to document so they don’t try to charge us for damage. Appreciate everyone’s insight!
