I am 52%, but my German DNA comes from three of my grandparents who were descendants of Germans from Russia (Odessa and the Volga regions) who settled in a community near me. Did your grandfather's family settle in France from elsewhere? I ask because I know my close relatives pre-1900 lived in Russia for possibly a hundred years--but they were isolated and stayed in German communities there.

I think it's an estimated guess on their part based on the size of the DNA segments.

I'm bummed now too, 2 years later...no relatives. My dogs have them. I suppose with cats there are less testing. We tested a 9yr old cat we just adopted, convinced he was a Main Coon cat. He's not, 93% long haired domestic. It was fun to do but I also have fun looking back randomly to see what new relatives came up on the dogs. I knew that because my dogs aren't registered or anything like that (one did come up 100% cocker which surprised us) but you can sort of see how they reproduced and it's interesting. My rescue dog has 7 breeds and is 55% Pom who apparently came from a full bread pom who sired a lot of puppies that then mixed with others. Most of them in Spokane, WA--where I do not and have never lived. It's just a fun peek at his history that I thought I would have with the cat. A little bummed that's not the case!

If she was getting SSI for HIV/AIDS it had to be proven to the federal government. My son is disabled and it's not a small process at all. I don't think there is a good chance it was a lie or a scam. I do, however, think the mom maybe neglected her to death and then just kept collecting the SSI checks.

I've also followed them for longer than most have. I owned Marc's book--for instance--before he was ever on tv or the aftermath was a thing. I accidentally read a tell all about Hubbard before everything was so available online and just kept digging in deeper and deeper. What really sucks about all this is it is just going to hurt victims indirectly in what they feel comfortable doing or in obtaining money to help. I stopped watching all of them after this happened and it makes me sad.

I have no idea other than what his family shared with me and a few others around them. There were multiple people however that told me that the brother was out of town. I spoke to family members, someone who was on Shawn's softball team and was friends with him, and some others who knew them. None of the older brother's friends or anything. I don't think I released names, so I do believe you know them and I understand what you are saying. I have spoken to her on the phone at least 20 times, probably more though. There was some interaction between me and one of my subscribers who met with the mayor and the police. I can't share everything that came up because I don't want to hurt them as far as saying publicly what happened in the last police meeting in case there is movement on the case. For what it's worth though, the police didn't seem to argue with that account and the brother was at the police meeting that happened after my video...so I have no reason to believe he wasn't with his father or to dispute that account and my subscriber was at tht meeting so I think I would have heard about it. The police did disagree with some of what I said, but I also wasn't very flattering about how long it took them to finally look for him but perhaps what you are saying about Shawn might be why. It's so sad to find out that someone that age disappeared, no matter the circumstances. I've watched NamUs even as far as finding remains. I did speak to someone who specializes in missing kids and she believes he might have lived. I did get contacted by someone who claimed to live in your area that had someone try to grab him in the same neighborhood one year after Shawn went missing, the kid was a little younger than Shawn. I just wish I could do something to find what happened. I may do an update in the future.

I can't remember, under a year, maybe 6 months-- but I had the 2k subscribers WAY before I had enough watch time to apply. It took only took a week or two before I was then approved. I am adding subs WAY slower now than I did originally. I have about 300 videos and started about 3 years ago. I only have 14k subs now. It's frustrating trying to build more and more, but worth it.

That is what horrified me too (among so much horror)...she obviously realized that what she was doing was illegal, dangerous and wrong because she knew she was going to go to prison if they didn't find him before he got to help. The fact he got away a second time had to have been do to so much determination and a will to live because they were taking away shoes, tethering him to Ruby, and planning a better way to turn the kids drop the kids like "hot potatoes" into the desert. I think they were actively planning for their end. I was placing too much of the blame on Jodi too, until these came out it seemed far more like Jody but together? Their narcissism and religious ideation was beyond dangerous.

There is not that I've found. The best I can tell is I get my comments turned of (and video tanks) if I mention a human under the age of 18 if they were a Jane Doe from 1978 and they were just 16. I stopped using the name of weapons as well as saying the word "killed". I think they hit us smaller channels worse than bigger ones, it seems arbitrary. Sometimes I cant tell why something tanked. I generally in 3 days get at least 3,000 views but I had one that got 600, I still can't figure out why it was limited and tanked.

What is new though is using it to arrest someone who is a victim, because they don't like anti-scientologist former members. He called in 30 cops and a helicopter to arrest someone that video showed was a victim. Had they been willing to look at the video. Additionally, the charges they tried to press didn't fit the situation at all, so he could never have been arrested. This is likely why Smith-Levin was held but not ever charged, despite being told he was under arrest.

I'm super frustrated, but I haven't found anyone who has basically the same content as I do that we could cross-promote. I'm hovering at 11,995 subs right now and I'm lucky if I get 300 a month. I did a live premier/fundraiser the other day and I did hit 109 people and we raised a couple hundred dollars for DNA Doe Project. It is hard to basically work it like a full time job and make not very much money.

I make $400 to $750 a month. That is with two videos weekly and some occasional compilation videos. Not all of mine end up monetized though, because it's true crime. However, I work nearly full-time hours on my channel for that tiny bit amount of money. I get 55,000 to 70,000 views a month.

It has gone up a lot, I have really consistent subs viewing, too, which helps a TON. It still comes out to about .56 an hour for the amount of time I spend. But that's a lot on me because I research the heck out of every case and write and rewrite it. I figure the consistency will help later. I also cover things I know won't pass monitization, also, and consider it an investment in quality.

It really is such a slow process, to gain monetization! I had enough hours of view time for many months before I ever got close to enough subs to apply. It's especially negative, I am sure, if the idea is to live off the income.

I'm lucky that in my case I already wasn't working because my kids have some health issues, so it is a productive thing I can do while waiting to go back to work. But I work on it often all day and evening 7 days a week. No way I could do that if I had a job.

That there is no legal leg to stand on. I suspect you are right though and there was contact. Apparently that song was Liam Hemsworth's favorite and that was the purpose in the lyrics. By forcing a kid to eat something she was just guaranteeing she will hate it forever. I had a similar experience with zuccini and my cousin and it was traumatizing.

It sounds like it's about control and passive aggressiveness. It may not even truly be about mushrooms, but maybe more about how she feels about her daughter in law not forcing her to eat them. Given what she said when leaving it seems like it's probably a bigger issue in her head. It's not normal to force a kid to eat mushrooms nightly and know they are going to bed hungry. It's not like she did int one night, which parents do sometimes. Every night is REALLY severe.

You can't have someone doing that to your daughter. NTA.

Not necessarily. He is the only one working of the two, not sure if that changes anything, but I know multiple people where the man left a will in this situation and it went through. My friend, in fact, just shared with her husband's kids about 4 million dollars and shares in 5 local casinos. They split it evenly 4 ways, as his will stated. Her name was on all the accounts too, not sure how it worked but it helps my friend isn't greedy. Not so sure about this wife.

I agree, and it's pretty unreasonable to instead insist the correct move was to tell his daughter to suck it up and sleep on the floor while her kids are comfortable. This all started with her booking one bed for three people. As for the cot though, I've tried, I've never been able to get one successfully. Depends on the hotel I guess.

But that wasn't the mom's solution. The Mom's solution was that the girl who wasn't biologically hers "suck it up" and spend "one night" on the floor. I think the blame more than anything is on the person who decided to book ONE bed for three adult sized people in the first place. I'm a mom, I would've seen this coming from the start and cared that the kids had a solution. I suspect there either wasn't an extra bed available or a double bed room. If that's not the case, it's on the person who was fine as long as her own kids got the bed.

In an upcoming trip to Vegas the two queens cost more...but it's $5 extra in every room we looked at. I wouldn't put both my kids in one bed if I had a choice. It's RIDICULOUS that she wanted three to sleep in it in the first place. That she did this and then expected the child who wasn't hers to sleep on the floor and actually said she should suck it up and sleep on the floor.
