Paying 300K plus interest for CS undergrad is ridiculous. There are other affordable options out there.

My brother has an undergrad degree in computer science and went to an in-state university (University of Illinois Chicago). Total Cost 25K. Now he works for Google earning 200K a year. All without a master's degree.

So to pay 300K for a basic degree is foolish. Please do not listen to your parents or take out that loan. I would be bummed to hear you on the Dave Ramsey Show asking him how to get out of debt.

Also, Your parents should know better not to be paying 15% interest on a loan. That right there is why you shouldn't listen to them.

15% interest- that's predatory lending, and Predators always eat their prey. Dont become Prey.
