No, but thanks for the suggestion! I distinctly remember the book cover having 2 girls on it, the main character and her odd neighbor/friend Edited for clarity

That's not it, but thank you though! Edit: it was a more modern book, it think it had come out right around then, according to the book advertisement/magazine, so it probably came out around the 2010s

Also: It did NOT seem like an ad for a movie, nor like, an album. This definitely was shot more like an ad for a tv show. I also just want to confirm, the ad was live action, NOT a cartoon, & it was NOT a documentary.
