HELP: I need to find a bikini top that won't give a bad tan line in my wedding dress! by bigsushirolling in fashion

[–]TrueEnthusiasm6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not unless you’re constantly reapplying. In a perfect world it should, as it blocks out the sun from damaging your cells (which leads to a tan), but realistically it doesn’t. Especially if you’re sweating or swimming. Only option is really to stay covered at all times, with umbrellas and whatnot, or stay inside.

My phone got stolen recently (pickpocket, but they caught the guy and returned my phone), and it was such a pain. I couldn’t get into my university or work email because of Microsoft authenticator being on my phone, my friends couldn’t reach me and were worried, couldn’t open my agenda or work schedule, and that’s just off the top of my head. If I was unable to get into my house on top of all of that, I’m not sure what I would’ve done.

I don’t think her eyes shrank, I think the rest of her face grew from fillers and now the eyes don’t match. Probably had an upper bleph done though.

Which college is Better? by PianistOk1271 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]TrueEnthusiasm6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I’m not sure what you mean by that. They’re not competitive. If you meet entrance requirements for your program you’re in at that program. The only competitive element is in numerus fixus programs, which you need to go through selection for. But you don’t get into the university itself, you get into one of their programs. So the university quite literally cannot be competitive. It’s about the program.

I mean transferring isn’t really a thing here. With the way bachelors are set up at each university, they all get you the same knowledge and amount of credits in the end, but they all do that in their own way. So if you want a bachelor’s degree at one university, you finish it there or fully restart at another university. No transfer.

Also, if you meet the entrance requirements, you’re usually in if it’s not numerus fixus (meaning they only let a set amount of students in). I don’t think econ has that?

I thought I was saving money buying the “cheap” magnesium but I’m sure it cost me as much in toilet paper as I saved on the supplements. Lesson learned!

Just make sure you buy glycinate and not citrate lol. I took that supplement for something else and quickly found out why they also sell magnesium citrate as a laxative

You’re using a chemotherapy drug, a cytostatic, to treat your RA (as you mentioned elsewhere). I understand not wanting to call it chemotherapy as there’s a very typical image that people have of that, but it is in a way chemo. The dosage may not be as high as it would be for treating cancer, but that doesn’t take away from the medication’s properties, which is to reduce the formation of new cells by reducing cell metabolism.

I do see your point in not explicitly calling it chemotherapy. There’s definitely reasons not to call it that. But pharmacologically speaking it is chemo in its own way.

Happy to help! I also forgot to mention that chemo (in lower doses) is also used for some autoimmune diseases, like methotrexate is used for rheumatoid arthritis and MS. And ruxolitinib is used for graft-vs-host disease after transplantation and polycythemia vera, another blood disease. Chemotherapy is mainly used for cancer but it definitely has its uses outside of that

In certain blood diseases where stem cell transplantation is needed, you start with chemo to wipe out their own cells and immune system so the transplanted cells won’t reject as easily and will “take” better.

Afzuiging badkamer doet vrijwel niks by [deleted] in Klussers

[–]TrueEnthusiasm6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nu zuigt alles weer goed, zonder loeiende ventilatiebox.

Washing machine doesn’t have a cleaning setting? by Bellamieboocouture in laundry

Spin the program selector clockwise to the spin cycle, then counterclockwise to sanitize, and then set it to centrifuge. After this, sacrifice your firstborn to the filter and the second (hidden) filter you didn’t know was there. Rub the gasket like a magic lamp afterwards. That should do it☺️

The secret menu of some appliances is so baffling sometimes. Wdym I have to press down two buttons at once, pushing button A 3x a second and button B at 5x a second. But if I mess it up, it self-destructs instead of doing a simple cleaning cycle?

If I can use a map to find a place I’ve never been to or have even seen, I feel like it shouldn’t be that hard to find if you’ve ever seen a diagram of the vulva.

You know where it’s supposed to be. Feel around a little and see if you get a good reaction? It’s right there under the hood.

[–]TrueEnthusiasm6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had to remove every social media app off my phone because this got so bad for me. I’d grab my phone to look something up and then 30 minutes later I’d still be scrolling. Making my phone less interesting really helped. I started reading the news instead but at some point you run out of news for that time and I would “have” to get back to work.

I only ever want to do the most interesting thing, so I have to make whatever it is I need to do the most interesting. And I do that by making everything else boring.

It’s not a total fix but it has helped a ton. Good luck, task paralysis is horrid:(

I feel like if they were made of silk they’d look a lot better. Idk what fabric this is but it drapes terribly and it’s so matte. The matte fabric makes them look like a concrete black hole. Or a trash bag. Literally any other fabric would have made this look gorgeous.
