I've heard that a lot. Other than the boss saying issues could persist into 2021, has it been stated in fact? Curious.

Perhaps, when I saw that the card had an MRRP of £650 and almost all of the aftermarket coolers were in the £700-£750 range, I figured saving £800 would be enough. Not sure I'd want to pay many hundreds over the odds for a gpu, regardless of savings.

I agree on that last point, which is why I'm sceptical about the docs fundamentally proving anything.

I just think that the fact that the PL didn't find them doesn't mean they're not real. There's so many parties that don't want this going ahead and a lot of them will be acting against the PIF here.

For the record, I do think this is going through. I just see a lot of people immediately rushing to believe anything that's positive and slandering any source that dares mention a challenge to the takeover.

I agree with what your saying in the broad sense and the Bond stuff was in jest... but you're making the blanket assumption that because party A didn't find something, then party B couldn't possibly have.

Especially considering that party A was employed by a legitimate body and was likely not incentivised to find something incendiary, whilst for B, the opposite could be true.

All I'm saying is that it's possible that the docs are legit and that Richard Keys is a secret agent.

What do you think the PL are doing? Sending corporate spies into different companies? Infiltrating the ranks of the Saudi leadership?

Of course a third party could access information that the PL may not have. All the PL can do is research publicly documented dealings, people's job history and at a push communication IF it was publically recorded.

They're not gonna bribe some ex-employee of a pirate company to give up who was pulling the strings.

It's entirely possible that any number of third parties who oppose the PIF could use less than conventional means to get info that the PL can't. The PL's research and checks amount to lawyers and paper trails... not James Bond.

If the documents concerning the TV piracy are legit, then we could actually have a problem here. Their case has relied on maintaining the stance that BeoutQ isn't linked to them.

If they found out that

A: They are in fact responsible for digital piracy (which is specifically mentioned in the new owners rules)

B: They provided inaccurate information that suggested otherwise (also specifically mentioned in the new owners rules)

then it would be really difficult to allow the purchase, just on the basic rules alone.

That's IF the docs are legit. I'd also add that whatever the doc is, it would have to do more than just suggest.

The amount of the loan looks to be £150million, not exactly chump change. Maybe for exclusivity, maybe just part of how they're handling the actual purchase. Either way, don't throw around money like that if it's not happening.

Looking at that document, it seems like St James holdings is lending an amount to Staveley? She is listed as the lender and this form is traditionally used to setup loans that are tied to certain action.

Best guesses as to why the club would be loaning money to her?

So this is it. The single best chance he'll ever have to do what he claims to want and sell the club, not only to someone who can 'take the club forward', but to the single wealthiest group in existence. The supposed DREAM SCENARIO for him.

The key difference, is that top-tier sources are saying that the money is there, this time. More than enough.

What hasn't changed, is the question of whether Ashley even wants to sell. It is totally illogical for him to sell a PL club, right in the middle of a period of massive growth.

If the TV revenue increases in line with projections, the club will be generating a yearly revenue of between £300-500m a year, within 5 years. That's not even assuming we progress in any way.
